The Vampire Diaries- Bring It On

"I don't know maybe this is the better version of me."

Today's episode felt like I was watching an edition of Vampire Gone Wild! I always knew the cheerleaders had pep in their step, but Elena had an overload on tonights episode of The Vampire Diaries. This is a huge change from the emotional and needy Elena that we are accustomed to seeing every Thursday night. This girl had edge, spunk, and she was just a little scary. Didn't you think so? Her level of aggressiveness and spontaneity exceeded Katherine's a bit, and that's saying something. But of course, she doesn't like being compared to Katherine, despite her desperate attempt to drop her clothes in front of her ex and her current boyfriend. Who could blame her she's living young, wild and free.

As always Stefan wanted to control the ripper that was seeping through Elena's seams. As a ripper himself, he knew exactly what would happen the minute she turned off her humanity. But I don't think he understands that at this point, Elena has got nothing. She's lost her whole family, including her brother and burnt her whole house down. Girl has nothing keeping her down anymore, no pun intended. Yet when you start seeing worry lines on Damon's face, thats when you know things are getting slightly out of control. Being a badass vampire is one thing, but abusing those privileges, especially do the people that have been by your side through everything is another. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. Yeah, I know how dumb that sounds in context but go with it.

Now, I like Caroline. I believe that in all honesty she has progressed relatively well as a character. This weeks Elena was like that friend that tells you the truth when she's drunk; no boundaries. She rejoined the cheerleading squad, per Caroline's help. Who knew Caroline still had time for the cheer squad? Than she fed on the competition, followed by a deliberate attempt at dropping Caroline on her "thick head" before revealing that this was all part of her master plan. She than hurt Caroline's mom and almost bit her. Than when she Caroline was trying to find her and help her, a girl fight escalated; a complete 360 for Elena. She threw jabs at Caroline trying to convince her to turn it off so she doesn't feel the pain of Tyler leaving her or doesn't feel guilty for thinking about Klaus. You know, as much as I hate to say it someone finally did tell blondie the truth. And if it wasn't for Stefan and Damon, she would have staked her own best friend. Isn't that exactly what Elena hated about Katherine and the vampires? How they killed the people she loved with no remorse? Well at least I thought so until Elena cleared up her behavior for me by justifying her actions with the fact that Damon tries to kill Stefan in pretty much every episode.

I have a couple of questions regarding Elena's sudden abandonment of feelings and humanity. For one, is this how you break the sire bond? It seems to work like compulsion and although Elena listened to Damon, it was like she was pretending so she could go through with her plan and feed on cheerleaders that didn't have vervain in their systems. But than later on, she ended up listening to Damon anyways. Is she just following his lead because of her own free will or does this sire bond really exist? Second of all, she has no feelings, but she does feel? She gets angry, she feels amazing, she still has feelings for Damon, she gets jealous. She told Stefan that he needs to move on because she feels nothing for him but than got jealous when he was having fun with Caroline, while denying her jealousy. She technically still has feelings, she's just pretending not too. Putting that aside, how will they turn her feelings back on and bring her back to the old Elena? Stefan still has hope for her and even possibly for the relationship that they had, by getting the cure for her.

Which was Damon's job. On his hunt for the cure or should I say the hunt for Katherine (whose gotten exceptionally good and running and staying hidden) he encounters Rebekah, who also wants the cure for herself. By the end of the episode neither of them really care to find it anymore. With Damon's help, Rebekah realized that being a vampire was better than being a mortal and getting fat and old. And obviously Damon will not be doing his job since Elena has convinced him that he actually likes her better this way. When she explained that he always wanted to be with her but was scared of what she would think about the bad things he was doing and now she didn't care cause she did them too, I almost jumped in the van with them. So of course, they run away to New York to have some fun, far from brooding and fun sucking Stefan. See, alone crazy vampire Elena scares me, but paired up with Damon I'm buckling up for the ride. This power duo is bound to be a whole other level of excitement. Go team Delena! But I must wonder who is Will and why is he so important to Damon that he referred to him as one of life's biggest mysteries. I guess we will find out next week.

So while the love birds are leaving their problems behind to go live life, Stefan has made the discovery that the empty blood banks in the hospitals surrounding Mystic Falls must be the doing of Silas. I hoped that when Rebekah told Damon she found Shane dead on the island, he would make some connection to the Shane that was brainwashing Bonnie, but than I remembered what does Damon care? As of right now Bonnie is in grave danger and no one knows it. No one is even worried about her absence from school.

Since Tyler's on the run and his mother and father are both dead, he left the house to Matt. In the care package he sent, he wrote a letter to Caroline saying that he won't ever be coming back as long as Klaus is alive. Which basically means forever, since he's you know, immortal. This might be a motive for Caroline to try and find Katherine and get the cure. Meanwhile, Klaus is playing house with werewolf Hayley. She's the reason that Katherine has the cure (making deals with the devil is her strong suit obviously) and since Katherine want's to use to cure on Klaus, he needs Hayley's help to find her.  This story line also allowed us to see Klaus get nakey nakey and do some dirty for the first time ever! About time!! We've seen the intensity of vampire sex, now its time for some hybrid-werewolf sex. I'm going to assume this is happening sans the emotions since Klaus still wants to be with Caroline and Hayley has her eye out for Tyler. She also wants to find her family and Klaus happens to know a werewolf brood that was located in Louisiana that had the same identical birthmark as Hayley. Obviously, this family will play a role in the new spin off show- The Originals, which Klaus and Hayler are both going to be a part of.  So than maybe they will actually become a real couple. Who knows?

Red Widow- The Consignment

I don't want to bash Red Widow, like most sites are doing. The ratings could definitely be better at this point. "Consignment" came in at a Nielsen rating of 1.1, which is pretty mediocre for an ABC show following the likes of "Once Upon a Time" and "Revenge". I think the reason is the Red Widow hasn't developed its niche or its core audience. Its trying a little bit of everything from crime fighting drama, to drug trafficking, to family issues and its just a bit jumbled. In a way it reminds me of the CW's Ringer. It had so much potential, yet it couldn't really establish itself with the viewers. 

The third episode was kind of dull. Although it was suppose to be this big deal in Marta's life as it was her first consignment to Schiller to pay off all her husbands debts, it moved quite slowly and without much action. She ran into every problem she could, solved it while her partner in crime was snorting cocaine and his wife was stupidly oblivious to the fact that he's in the drug business in the first place. Than Marta's wingman Logan got shot after she brought him to the delivery of the cocaine because Schiller saw him as a liability. In Schiller's mind your either a liability or an asset to him and Marta is an asset because of her keen sense at fixing problems and her Petrova bloodline. He assigns her another job, which establishes that she is basically working for Schiller now.

Agent Ramos is on the scene at the Marina because he has been keeping close watch on Marta and trying to keep her from doing something stupid, which is obviously whats happening. He has no leads on her and is unable to stop the shipment from happening-- good for Marta because Schiller would probably kill her if the feds got involved. But with a family of three, she is in no position to be a mob drug boss. Her only way out is to run. Now if she confided in agent Ramos, maybe he would be able to help her and her family disappear, but there's no guarantee that it would keep her father or sister safe as well. Plus Schiller would hunt Marta down until he found her and killed her. She knows the in's of the business now, so therefore she's a liability.

The most interesting characters on the show are the children. Boris is dealing with seeing his father get murder, except that he doesn't really remember anything. All he knows is that whenever he hears a motorcycle, he hears the gun shots. He's being tormented by nightmares because his subconscious wants him to remember. Eventually, he reveals to big sister Natalie that he remembers the killers shoes had a yellow stripe on them. Natalie is also a captivating character because she's no longer a girl, but not really a teen; she's a pre-teen, who see's her mother freaking out and talking about guns. She has an idea that her mother is in some danger and involved in something bad and when no one will give her any answers or advice, she takes Boris and goes straight to agent Ramos. Bad for Marta, who clearly cannot juggle the stress of drug smuggling and raising a family. She is missing all the signs that her children are in danger and scared for her. I think that incorporating the children in to the mix will create for a very twisted and dangerous storyline. I can see them being put in witness protection or something of that sort.

Like I said, Red Widow has potential, but the writing has to stop being monotone. Its passive and not aggresive. When a Russian mob show becomes predictable (I mean everyone knew Logan was about get shot) it takes away from the mystery, the fear and the excitement. The writing needs to be less Twilight, because the audience isn't young pre-teens. There is a lot of competition on those networks and we need to be able to fall in love with the characters, fall in hate with them and fear for them without knowing what will happen next. So far Schiller doesn't scare me one bit and I don't really care if the brother dies in jail. Step it up!

Pretty Little Liars- I'm Your Puppet

Those bars don't just keep you from going out. They keep others from coming in.

As the last episode before the season three finale of #PLL, "I'm Your Puppet" really got down to the nitty gritty, leaving a lot at stake. This episode was so complex that its actually kind of tricky for me to analyze it because I'm a bit confused on whats real and whats a dream. But as usual, it posed more questions than it answered, but it set the scene for next weeks episode, which will hopefully reveal more than we can handle. After everything that A has put these girls through, it has come to my attention that maybe they all need a little bit of time off in a safe place, whether it be Cabo or a mental institution. Their all getting played by A- some more than others. Did anyone else ever wonder what would happen if one of the four actually joined the A team though? Well....

Spencer is A's puppet. At least I think thats what was revealed this week. While the liars and Spencer's mom tried to convince Spencer to come home, she revealed that she in fact felt safe in the psych ward and that she wasn't ready to leave. Maybe thats the truth, but my guess is her hunt to find answers is getting the best of her. After getting her hands on Mona's map, her time is being consumed by the need get into Mona's mind. The map, which is on a game that Mona was obsessed with while she was at Radley, leads Spencer to a window, obviously used by Mona to sneak out. Did Eddie give Spencer the game by chance or is he trying to help her get to the bottom of the mystery? Wren and Eddie seem to have a bit of beef with each other as well, but who should we fear and whose the good guy? Does Eddie know more than he's letting up to?? 

The map than leads Spencer to the freaky nursery where Aria and Hannah paid Mona a visit. While shes in there, in her ghostly white dress, she hears singing. It turns out to be Ali who reveals that the cut on her lip that Mrs. Hastings referred to was because of an altercation with some girl. What girl though?? She than leads Spencer to the badges and id's that Mona hid while in Radley. While Spence is going through them, Wren walks in and explains that he was the one who let CeCe in to visit Mona when she couldn't have visitors because Melissa had called CeCe, who wanted to be a mentor to Mona because she felt entitled since Ali was like her sister and got her kicked out of college. Yeah, lets back it up just one second. First question, is this real life? The ghostly appearance and the fact that Ali is there makes me think that this has got to be Spencer's drugs kicking in hardcore. My second question, do we take Wrens story for granted or at face value? I mean technically, its still a dream right? Or did he walk in and wake Spencer up from her sleep walk? 

Of course the writers take it a step further, back to Spencer's cell. She clearly hasn't been taking her pills or getting any sleep for that matter. She proceeds to take out a black hoodie from her pillow (her totally secret hiding spot) and a flyer for the carnival where Malcolm was kidnapped (I'll get to that in the next paragraph.)  She than recalls a moment where Mona was once again asking her to join the A team and Spencer replied, "You don't have to ask me again Mona. I'm in." Well what the hell does that mean? Could Spencer really have gone to the dark side? And not just the mental dark side, but the A team dark side? I've always speculated that one of the liars might actually be part of the "game" but how? Why? When did she get involved? Was she always involved or did she finally crack after she realized Toby is dead? Is she staying in the mental institute because Mona told her too? Is it part of their plan? Did she join only because she wants answers or because she feels safe? And lastly, could it all be a dream that makes her think about joining the A-team?? Is she joining so she could take the A team down? 

Leading me to my next point, could Spencer be the one who kidnapped Malcolm from daycare? When Spencer took out the hoodie and the flyer from her pillow it kind of indicated that she might have been the girl that posed as Aria''s friend to kidnap Malcolm and tell him her name was Alison. This was also foreshadowed when Spencer found the window opening. But why would Spencer want to hurt her friend like that? Aria nearly lost it when she found out Malcolm was taken, and instead of calling the police she went on to look for him herself. In one way its a smart move cause getting the police would cause a lot of worry and probably upset A and make him/her do something to harm the kid, but it was a bold move trying to find the little guy herself. It ultimately led her to end the relationship with Ezra. She mentioned someone was going to get hurt and she rather it be her than Malcolm. 

Hannah was also played by A and the result may jeopardize her relationship with Caleb. The only good thing is that Caleb is kind of familiar with how A works so he shouldn't put the blame on Hannah. Hannah was convinced that his estranged father, whom she helped get a job at the local church for through Pastor Ted, was stealing money and stole parts of a really expensive church bell and switched it out for a cheaper one. After confronting Caleb about it and letting him take his anger out on his dad, she found out that it was all part of A's scheme. Caleb left to look for his dad and apologize, while actually blaming Hannah for the misunderstand. Honestly, you saw the text Caleb. What part of that was Hannah's fault? How could she possibly know that A was going to mess with her boyfriends relationship with his father. 

With Paige out of town, Emily keeps getting texts from Shawna, which in my opinion means she's up to something rather than just crushing on Ems. Although she's not getting attacked by A at the moment, she's digging for trouble by trying to find out if Toby is really dead. In the beginning of the episode Emily finds out that whoever was found in the woods, wasn't really Toby, but some middle aged camper. Yet by the end of the episode, her mother said they found a body of a young man located near Spencer's description, with her purse lying next to the crime scene. The ending shows that body, with only the tattoo visible, in the morgue. Could it really be Toby though? The writers are trying to keep us in suspense, but at this point I'm not sure what to believe. Maybe Spencer was working with him all along? Maybe he really is dead and she's trying to see what happened to him and get close to the A-team? Maybe it was all a cover up so that Spencer could get into Radley and continue on the A-team "mission." Honestly, there are so many options at this point. All we know is that out of the four girls, Emily, Hannah or Aria cannot be the girl in the red coat. 

The episode didn't really touch upon Wilden or anything to do with the sunken car but no worries, the writers tend to let story lines cool down for awhile before bringing them up in major ways. We do know one thing though, the fact that Wilden wants to know where his car is could mean that he isn't A. Or he could just be faking it and he's really part of the takedown. One down, three to go. Revenge- Retribution

"Death is a thief. It takes and it keeps all that a person is. Was."

There was lots of mourning on this weeks Revenge, following the death of Amanda Clarke. It seemed to take the biggest toll on Emily, who admitted that Amanda was one of the few people she actually loved. Many times it didn't seem like Emily was really that close to Amanda and was merely using her as a pawn in her scheme for revenge, but in the end she ended up being one of her closest allies. If one looked at the death in a positive light, it could be the opportunity that Emily wanted; a chance to finally be with Jack. Yet, after washing the blood of her best friend off her hands, she admits that she is getting back to the revenge at hand; no more distractions. The scariest thing about angry and vengeful Emily is that she admits she didn't come back to put these people in prison. That could only mean one thing? She won't stop until their dead. 

When Jack found out that Amanda was gone forever, that pain cut through the soul. Their love was short lived but they always say those are the ones that matter most. his quick recovery from surgery revealed his own plot for revenge against the Grayson's, which eased his pain a bit. Its as if he was carrying on his wife's legacy, no matter how much he was doubting her at the time.  As he admitted to Emily and Nolan, he found out the reason Amanda returned was because she wanted the Grayson's to pay for her father's death and he was going to carry that revenge out for her. Finding the key to the locker where the computer was hidden, he also found a lot of Amanda's secrets. For example, the fact that Emily and Amanda had actually known each other from juvie. This realization is definitely a lead in for the writers to allow Emily to tell Jack the whole truth. He's already doubting that he ever really knew the real Amanda and as much as Emily tries to sugar coat it, the truth is, Amanda was a fake; an impostor who acted out a scenario that Emily created and by chance ended up falling in love and having a baby. Everything for her was a lie and Jack didn't know the first thing about anything. Either way, it was sad watching Jack, whose always been a good guy, doubt the love of his dead wife. Things should never play out that way. He deserves someone good, he deserves an explanation and he shouldn't take it out on Emily who has done everything to protect him, Amanda and little Carol. Additionally, having Jack involved in trying to do Emily's dirty work is putting Jack in more danger, which is obviously a no-go for Amanda, even if she is laying off the whole relationship business for awhile. 

Aside from the funeral and Emily getting back on track with her original mission, not much happened in the episode. Emily's target is of course the Grayson children, which is the only real way to hurt Victoria. Daniel has caught on to the initiative and it seems like the writers are slowly trying to steer away from the idea of the initiative, which has started to loose much of its meaning. I mean, their just a bunch of people with cameras that threaten people to do what they want. Now that their leader, Crowley, is dead its time for the initiative to leave as well. Hopefully, the writers have an interesting way to spin this. Padma needs to be freed from the initiative as well. They have a tendency of hurting loved ones and its time someone brought the whole thing down. Maybe the takedown of the initiative will be the takedown of the Grayson's.  Conrad is continuing his run for mayor, trying to capitalize on the death of his "family" member and make good with Jack. 

The biggest shocker was at the end though. While Charlotte was trying to be a good-doer and find some of Amanda's friends and relatives to come to the funeral, she stumbled upon Amanda's step- brother. It is revealed in next weeks previews that Emily (aka Amanda) hasn't seen him for fourteen years. In this weeks episode, he finds his way to the grave and encounters Emily revealing his presence in town. Next week, we see him get close to the Graysons. We see Emily panic that he will recognize her and we hear him say, "Well don't you look good for a dead girl." Does this mean that Emily will finally shed some light on her real identity??

Seeing Amanda Clarke get buried, was kind of like watching a piece of yourself die. It had to feel like that for Emily as well. She vowed to throw away Amanda and become Emily forever and she has taken that to the extreme. She has attended her own funeral and laid herself to rest, in hopes that her new identity will let her get the revenge that the actual Amanda was looking for. It was sweet to see that the bond she had created with Emily was a ride till I die bond. When Amanda was buried, so were her secrets. But that doesn't mean that they can't resurrect.

Pretty Little Liars- Will the Circle Be Unbroken?

"You're not crazy. You're as sane as I am."

This weeks episode focused on Spencer's mental health, which didn't give the other girls much screen time, and didn't move the story much for next weeks season finale. What we do know is that Spencer does not have amnesia... Thank god. For a brief moment, she wanted to become someone other than Spencer Hastings and based on the things that have happened to her lately, who could blame her. Ultimately, Spencer realized that she was the weakest link of the four. She was the one who broke the circle and was unreliable to her friends. A has really pushed all of the liars' buttons, but with Spencer, A pushed mountains. The only thing that we know from this episode is that Mona has the answers to most of the questions that the liars (and us, the viewers) have because possesses most of Ali's diaries. One thing that we can take Mona's word for is that Ali wasn't really pregnant, which means we can cross Wilden off our suspect list. Or can we?

After Ashley fled town, er I mean, went to a promotion meeting in New York, Wilden took his chance at Hannah by throwing her a bone. If Hannah returned his car, he would disappear from her life and leave Ashley alone. Well, its not that easy now that the car is under water. The writers leave little clues that could possibly indicate that Wilden already knows where his car is. For example, he mentioned he went away fishing. The last scene in last weeks episode showed someone fishing in the little lake/pond where Aria and Hannah drowned his car. Also, what happened to him the night of the accident? Did he just get up, leave his car, pop in a cab and go fishing? I highly doubt it. He left his car for a reason. Either way, Ashley might be out of town, but A still has the evidence from the camera that was in the car. And if things aren't bad enough for Ashley, I think Ted is suspecting that Ashley has some beef with the Rosewood PD as he questioned her about leaving because of some reason other than the promotion. What will happen when the reverend gets involved? Will Wilden take matters into his own hands because he can't get his car? Hannah is literally taking on like 3 A battles at once. 

Not much movement on the Aria front, except that Aria cannot keep herself from fibbing. First she lied to her parents about Ezra and his kid. Than she asked them for help by seeing if could help Ezra find a job. Than eventually when she was called into the principals office where she denied her relationship with Ezra to the principal, to ensure that Ezra got a fair chance at getting the substitute teaching job. Sure, her heart was in the right place but hasn't she learned by now that secrets get out, especially when A is involved and when Mona is in the same class. After making their relationship exclusive, they will have to go into hiding again. How long do you think that will make their relationship last? The guy has a kid now. I'm sure he doesn't need to stigma of dating one of his students. I know Rosewood is small but isn't there any other high school in the area. Or even one outside of town?? Anything but Aria's school? How is she going to take her teacher to prom? And to top it all off, her parents are helping Ezra with the hopes of pushing him back to Maggie and having Aria's heart broken. Wicked people.

Emily didn't really play a major part in this weeks episode, aside from being a mediator between the liars and Dr. Sullivan. Well, she did meet Missy Franklin, which might have been the writers way of introducing a key player into the picture, but it really just looked like Shauna's attempt at trying to break up Emily and Paige for her own selfish reasons and trying to hook these two up. Either way, I'm not at all invested in any of Emily's relationships because to me its like she's single anyways. 

Doesn't  Dr. Sullivan always comes into the picture at such suspicious times though? Is there really only one psychiatrist that could be called to analyze the situation? Is she working for the A team? Did Mona tip her off to come to Radley and analyze Spencer? I mean, Mona was the person who brought Spence to Radley, or at least knew she was there. Spencer was placed in her old room. Than Mona came to visit. In normal cases I would think its a coincidence, but on this show, it never is. Mona has had this planned for quite some time. But who is the mastermind behind it all? Is it Mona? Is she just blackmailing people into doing things for her?? And finally, is Toby alive? The writers tried to convince us that he was dead, but we never really saw his face. Now their questioning the validity of what Spencer really saw that night? Could it be that she was really just seeing things or did she see the body that may or may not have been Toby's? We won't know until the cops actually find that body or Toby's family reports him missing. Which brings me to Jenna? Where the hell is Jenna in all of this??

As always,, so many unanswered questions from tonights episode. Spencer's flashback to church with Alison revealed some rather interesting dialouge. In short, Ali referred to the diaries as something she's writing for the girls to navigate through when she's dead. Did Ali plan on dying? Was she getting threats and she wanted the girls to know whats up after someone killed her? Or did she fake her own death and is still the mastermind behind everything? We find out who the girl in the red coat is next week (promo pictures) but what happens when it really is Ali??? 

Secondly, who is Eddie Lamb? He's clearly Toby's secret identity. The real Eddie is someone who knew Toby when he was little because his mom was admitted into Radley. He basically implied that through the faulty system of Radley people were able to sneak in and sneak out and use others passes and stuff like that. Did he give Toby his pass? He also mentioned that whomever was corrupting the system at Radley was actually one of the employee's. Of course, Dr. Sullivan looks suspicious, as mentioned above, but lets realize that the person that was on staff the whole time while Mona was locked up, was involved in Spencer, Hannah and Emily's lives, and appeared the minute Mona called him about Spence was Wren!!!! He had access to the psych-ward, to Mona, to the girls, he very well could be part of the A team.

Red Widow- Pilot

Trust no one but yourself. Now its up to you.

ABC's new drama, Red Widow started off its series premiere with solid ratings and in my book a solid review. Not only was I completely immersed in the show within a few minutes, the characters were relatable to me, especially as a European woman. I will say that always subjecting the Russian nationality to a life of crime and drug smuggling is a little overrated, but its a minor detail I can over look. Some blogs and reviewers have said that although the writer of Twilight (and the creator of Red Widow), Melissa Rosenberg, has steered from mystical, glittering vampires, she has failed to write a compelling storyline anyways, I must disagree.

Marta is the epitome of a woman that cares about her family and a woman that's left with nothing, completely broken and a will to get to the bottom of what happened to her husband. Her relationship with her husband seems a bit strained at the beginning and who could really blame her? As a kid she grew up in a family with a father that was in the "business" and by this we mean the cocaine business. She than married and her husband got sucked into the business as well, despite the fact that he wasn't Russian, which makes no sense to me but was mentioned in the episode I guess for emphasis. The biz allowed them to live a easy life, money wise, but it put a lot of strain on their relationship and made her constantly fear for everyones safety. Its no surprise that her one wish was for her husband to get out of the business. When they made a deal to drop everything and run away, she finally realized that he was on her side fully and they an opportunity to start a new life.


They always say when things are going too good, its bad. That was the case. As their relationship heated up displaying their affections on the frontline, Evan was brutally murdered in front of Boris and died holding Marta's hand. So many shows on TV now show people getting shot and killed, yet this moment and scene tugged at my heart and made me weep like a baby. And any writing that can do that deserves an A+ in my book. The connection that was formed between the couple was short but deep. She loved him and he loved her. That's all they knew. Now left alone with three children, how does one pick up the pieces? If only it were that easy though. Aside from her being widowed, she now has to make a decision to take over the business and finish her husbands job, or to cut herself off from it completely. Truthfully though, in order to get to the bottom of anything and keep everyone safe while paying back her husbands "debt", she has no choice but to get completely into the nitty gritty of the business. 

But lets rewind to the night of her sisters wedding, when her husband was still alive to find out some crucial details about the business and why it might have been hard Evan to walk away clean. There is a man named Schiller, whose pretty much the most feared drug lord. Not even Marta's dad would mess with him and he is an established man in the business from what we can tell. Well Marta's brother Mike, was not so smart and stole lot of cocaine from Schiller, while killing two of his men. This was basically asking to be sentenced to death. Mike stated that he had a buyer, for the product but Evan (Marta's husband) wanted out. While Vincent, the other partner, didn't trust Evan, he blamed him for ratting out Mike, when Mike was arrested going to meet the buyer. This fact was also confirmed by Officer Ramos, so its safe to say Evan did rat him out. Vincent than threatened to kill Evan, just a day before he actually was killed. Suspicious. Neither of the "partners" are trustworthy. Especially when Marta goes to visit her brother, whose clearly an idiot, in jail and he has the nerve to tell her that stealing Schiller's products was all Evan's idea. Easy to put the blame on someone when their dead. Than Vincent is found on the boat, with all the cocaine missing. Sketch.

Than of course, the storyline with the children comes into play. Boris, the youngest one is already having problems in school being bullied. When he brings a gun to school to scare the bully, that calls attention on the family. The principal tells Marta that he would rather not get Boris involved with the authorities because that would mean an investigation on the family and we know she wouldn't want that. But how does the principal know? Is it a known fact that Boris belongs to a drug dealing family? I thought things like this were suppose to be secrets. Than Boris must deal with the fact that he see's his father get shot multiple times and killed. A lot for a little tot to gripe with. The eldest son Gabriel must deal with finding out that his father wasn't really the guy he thought he was when he cracks open the dads secret USB to find a lot of information on all of the family members. Gabriel believes that the father was trying to sell the family out, but thinking back to what Officer Ramos mentioned to Marta, the father talked about getting the family into witness protection. Although we are taught never to trust cops, in this case I think thats a more fair assumption. Evan didn't want to be involved in any of the drug smuggling and when he found out what Mike did, he needed help. 

When Marta watched the tape that Evan left in case he passed, he told her to trust no one. And that's probably what he should have done. Now as she jumps into her husbands shoes, she takes on a life so distant from her but all to familiar at the same time. But how far will she go and what does Schiller exactly want from her? It would be too positive to say that he will stop after just one run of import. It will be exciting to see how the storyline evolves and hopefully gets picked up for more than just 8 episodes. All in all, a strong opening for Red Widow, despite all the hate its receiving. Sometimes I wonder if people actually watch the same show I do!

Pretty Little Liars- Out of Sight Out of Mind

Oh how the roles have shifted. Not so long we saw Mona in the looney-bin, but now the breakup with Toby and the information that he's dead, has taken a huge toll on Spencer. Such a big toll that by the end of the episode, we couldn't even recognize her as the camera showed a girl who was physically there, but mentally was already on a different planet. Sometimes A's threats are irrational and nothing to worry about, but this threat "someone will pay for your loose lips," really meant what it said. The reason Spencer lost it was because she's mainly the reason that Toby is dead. 

Lets take this back a little. Was Toby dead before or after Emily had started looking for him?? Emily had a point that the Toby they knew would never do such things. So what was the deal with Toby being A? Could he actually be alive. All we saw was his tattoo, but Spencer never saw his face. Also, why would A kill Toby? Was Toby only working for A because he wanted to keep the girls and Spencer safe? If he was really loyal to the A team, than A would not kill one of his own right? If he would that means everyone is doomed. And what was up with Mona wandering off into the woods leading Spencer to his body? Did she know that Toby was dead? Did she get a text and find out her partner in crime was no more and she went to check out the scene? What does Mona know that we don't and why is she targeting Spencer?? 

Honestly all this episode did is raise so many questions. Why did A target Emily and drag her out to old abandoned street were Toby used to work, where she waited 3 hours only to see a girl in a red coat walk into the factory. When she went in there she saw the same guy that she saw snooping around Toby's house. He knew her name and was definitely a 10 on the creepy scale. Who is the guy? Why does he know more than he's leading on? Why is this place significant? Who broke Emily's window and left her Toby's obituary?? What game is A really playing. But the better question is, while this was happening, Spencer was chasing Mona in some dark forest. So who was the person harassing Emily? Whose the other A? When the show starts getting innocent casualties just for fun, thats when things get really unfortunate. There is no reason why any game should become so dangerous. Maybe the person Emily was looking for in her mothers office (which would not be so easy by the way). The name that Toby used to go by, is actually his co-worker. But who is the blonde girl with the red coat? She's becoming less and less secretive. But is she really there? Everyone denies seeing her, except all the girls, but they can't all be hallucinating can they??

Hannah and her mother are in some deep stuff, thats for sure. A knows all, even if the cops don't. First of all we're left with the question, is Wilden dead or alive? Was Ashley just seeing things on the street or was her really there? But why would he just abandon his own car like that, with a recording of what happened. How did A get its hands on the car and get it into Hannah's garage as blackmail. And did no one see them drive that car out of Rosewood to a random lake, where they tried sinking the car. Just because the secrets under water doesn't mean its gone for good. Because of course, some random fisherman is going to be fishing in the pond and he's going to stumble upon the car and they will dig it up and find Hannah and Aria's finger prints and it will be another colossal disaster. 

Aria does not need any more disasters in her life. Its bad enough that her ex teacher boyfriend now has a kid. That kid and his mother (Ezra's girlfriend Maggie) are moving to Rosewood so he can be closer to the kid. Aria is like almost as old as the kid, trying to play against the mother of this guys kid. She's not winning either. She babysat the kid and ended up having to rush him to the hospital for stitches and than she got kicked out of the room because she wasn't family. Talk about harsh life. So of course Ezra won't want her around him and his kid if he finds out she had something to do with sinking a police car that belongs to a missing officer thats leading the case of Alison. If that doesn't spell break up, I don't know what does. Although I will admit that seeing the way Aria and Ezra's kid bonded, was really special and I don't see a problem with throwing Maggie out of the picture to form a cute little Fitz family. 

So many people are becoming suspects in the killings and even more people are becoming potential members of the A team. The show is twisting in such circles, that sometimes I can't even tell if the liars are all telling the truth. What worries me though is where Spencer's parents are throughout all of this and why they aren't helping her. Even when she got lost in the woods, why didn't her friends get worried when she wasn't there all night and into the morning. How could they not look for her, especially in that fragile of a state. Why is Mona the only one that knows she's in some creepy psych ward and why is she holding out the information from everyone. Did Mona plan it this way? Because it sure looks that way. She wanted her vengeance on Spencer and she got it. She tore the girl apart from head to toe and unfortunately, unlike Mona, Spencer isn't acting. I am glad to say that I feel the liars are making more progress connecting the whole Toby, Mona and the psychologist together. Obviously, the people they think are playing on their team, really aren't. No pun intended.
