Holy Moly Gossip Girl! Last night's episode definitely showed us a new side of Yom Kippur.
Blair was battling her soon to be mother in law and sister in law with an absurd legal contract about how to raise her child with Louie. Her sister in law was meddling with Diana and selling stories about the royal family. I have become a little annoyed with Blair and the lack of backbone she has to her "royals" this season. You're Blair Waldorf girl! Your life belongs on the Upper East Side. And that baby might not belong to the Prince of Monaco but it belongs to The Prince of the Upper East Side- Chuck Bass and thats a story I hope we reach very soon (after Blair goes through bridesmaid bootcamp though cause thats just going to be a hoot). After Louie found the letter with the real results of the pregnancy I'm sure a scandal is just waiting to blow up in everyone's face. Will he go back to his family? Have the finally convinced him that Blair cannot be trusted?
Speaking of, I smell a feud start between Diana's new poser Gossip Girl sight and GG herself. She's already onto her. You can't call yourself a NYSpectator when Gossip Girl has wind of your schemes before they even go viral. And Charlie is really just shooting herself in the foot. You shut up your fake mother, you are living the life you wanted with people who are accepting you for the fake you, and your going to backstab them and leak stories about their life? As a girl who is trying to find her place on the Upper East Side you have got to find a way to come up with a better scheme than that.
Serena, Serena, Serena. Deceiving, Self- Centered, Serena. I have missed you. After being sabotaged by her boss to get the movie right's to Dan's book she back-stabs him and messes up every other possible deal from major movie producers. In the end he gives her the rights to the book because the book would not be possible without her in the first place. Thats why he made Blair the star of the book right? But after she showed that she was hurt by that fact, and told Dan that he was the love of her life are writers trying to take it back to the Serena and Dan time period? Would it even be possible? They are obviously not the same people anymore. They are still wicked souls, but for the sake of their jobs now. I really wont talk much about Nate because he is boring. He once again has no story line except for being the king of milfing, and having morals. Gross. Chuck Bass on the other hand is such a complex character without even trying to be. I loved the way the psychologist summed up his life after doing her research on him. Finally somebody got to him!! But as soon as he decides to open up to someone we see that Louie is talking to the same psychologist. Was this planned?
Other thoughts
-Who is Diana? After taking Bart's private investigation file from the Van der Woodsen home she takes out a black and white photo of HERSELF and burns it. Who was she? What connection does she have to the Van der Woodsens? Why is she back? Is she Chuck's mother? Poor Nate.
Memorable Quotes
- Chuck: I could think of a few girls who would look good in this.
- Mother-in-law: He will protect royal tradition
- Sister: Yes but will she?
- Psychologist: I converted,
- Chuck: Well that's probably a smart move in your line of work.
- GG: On the Upper East Side it's not what you say that determines what you are its what you do. Whether your making a big announcement or trying to close a deal. Or firing the first shot.
