"I told you the voice was wrong. It gets better."
With just 2 episodes left till the SERIES Finale the writers are really tying everything back into season one. We have come a full circle. Unfortunately between season 8 and season 9 we had to loose a crucial character to the show. They always say that the evil live forever, but when the evil turn good I guess their the first to go. At least that's what happened with Dan Scott.
An episode full of emotion from beginning to end I found myself clutching to the tissue box and reliving every season and every moment with Dan. You can't kill Dan Scott he said and we believed him. We hated him. We hated him for being a jerk to Nathan, for abandoning Lucas, for hurting Karen, and most importantly for killing Keith. But in his last moments in Tree Hill we found ourselves reliving the good memories and realizing that no matter what, we had spent almost a decade secretly loving Dan Scott and his devilish smile and quirky remarks. So unfortunately saying goodbye was painful. The good part was that it allowed us to revisit a dear old friend in heaven, Mr. Keith Scott. An astonishing surprise for us faithful OTH fans, but those faithful fans are the only ones watching nowadays anyways. If Nathan, Deb, Haley, and Keith could all forgive Dan than I guess so could we. We watched go from being on top of the world, to hating himself, to becoming a fraud, to being the loneliest man in the world to dying as a redeemed man; one with his family by his side no matter what and proud of what he had become.
The reunion of Nathan and Haley, the one couple that has stuck it out since day 1, definitely alluded to some of the other hospital scenes that tugged at our heartstrings. Oddly enough that hospital feels just like home to many OTH fans just because we have had so many beautiful and so many daunting memories there. Just like the scene at the River Court the writers are taking their fans on a journey to all the places that we think of fondly. That hallway at Tree Hill High might have had some horrible memories, but seeing Dan and Keith walk through it made it feel like we never left 2006.
Brooke Davis has had a tough season. With her psychopath stalker finally locked up she can concentrate on her family, friends and businesses. But when thing suddenly start going perfect after they've been a disaster for so long you start to get skeptical. And for good reason. Brooke once again realized that she could not rely on her father for anything. Instead of coming there to check up on her and see how she was doing all he came to do was convince her to sell Baker Man. Brooke might have been a weak target back in the day, but after 9 goddamn seasons in Tree Hill she's pretty damn good and slamming the door shut and cutting out the people that don't matter.
It would have been the most epic ending of One Tree Hill if Lucas and Peyton had made an appearance. We got to see Keith, we saw Deb, said goodbye to Dan but what about Lucas and Peyton. So much has been happening in their friends lives and they are nowhere around. I'm sure one episode wouldn't kill them. Once the writers start tying back all the story lines back to previous seasons we know the chapter is coming to an end. But I'm glad that despite the fact that Luke and Peyton couldn't make an appearance we still include them in some shape or form. For us dedicated fans, those two were the basis of One Tree Hill. Lucas's books are what made us believe in love right? So when Julian jumps at the opportunity at turning the Raven's book into a T.V show its kind of a happy relief. Just because One Tree Hill is coming to an end doesn't mean it has to be over!

I'll admit it... As much as I was anti the Clay story line I have to give Logan full credit. He won my heart over. If I found out I had a son and he was as adorable and cute as Logan I would fight for him too. It has to be hard growing up without a dad and finding out that one day he walked back into your life but Logan is one tough cookie and he finally accepted Clay into his life. Seems to me that with two episodes left, everyones lives are pretty much falling into place. Although this season was probably a huge home stretch you have to give it up to the writers for writing a simple story about a small town, that made me fall in love with it genuinely and uncontrollably. A story that has had us addicted and entranced for 9 seasons. They sure as hell better give me a series finale I will remember for a lifetime. Always and Forever!
