Pretty Little Liars- Crazy

"Friends don't let friends sneak into insane asylums alone."

Never judge a book by its cover, or rather a T.V show by its previews. This weeks Pretty Little Liars made us very aware that A was not playing and that Mona, might actually be innocent??? Ok, maybe thats a bit of a stretch but it seems that she really has been out of the loop since she's been in the looney bin.

As strange and eerie as the scenes in the mental hospital seemed to be, it actually resulted in Mona helping the liars. It's becoming really tough to see which side Mona is actually on, or if she really is crazy at all. At times, she seems to be normal and collected, but than we have those freaky scenes in the children's room where she chants really messed up sayings while claiming she "missed her dolls"and we're left wondering is she really all ok up there? It was pretty ingenious of Mona to talk in code because lets face it, crazy or not, she knows that she's being stalked. A had his tape recorders all up in those dolls. She cannot say anything without being to cautious. Either way by using the secret code her and Hannah made up a couple of days before Alison's body was found, she was able to communicate to the girls that something was "Not Safe" and provided them with a link to a website that had a picture of Maya. But that leaves all of us wondering who isn't safe? Maya or the liars?

My guess is that the latter is the better bet. A is really not playing around at this point. He/ She has even gone to such extreme lengths as framing Hannah for the murder by putting her blood sample on the bracelet that Jason turned into the cops. And unfortunately, Rosewood is a town thats quick to judge by deceiving evidence. It also doesn't help that Hannah has been digging herself into a bigger hole than most of the girls. She's been lying to Caleb, sneaking into hospital rooms with threatening notes, and now Alison's father is back in town and he's still pretty pissed off about Hannah "joking" that Ali was alive. It also doesn't help that Wilden is on her ass 24.7. The man shows up at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hell, he's even at church parties! He's practically as present in Hannah's life as A is.

Seems that Alison's father has a negative reaction on many people in the town, including his son. But why was Jason driving drunk and hoping to end up in a jail sell besides Garett?? Does that mean he's actually guilty of something or is he just depressed about the fact that he cannot seem to figure out who actually killed his sister? Although his step sister Spencer is very quick to help Jason out of any trouble and dig herself into a bigger hole. The police have let Garett go, but that's all their doing--finding victims that they think are guilty only to end up back at the start. The mystery of Ali seems to be eating away at everyone slowly.  But one thing I have realized is that although the writers make you want to believe Alison is dead, they keep trying to hint at the fact that she might actually be alive (check Quiji board). Now with the website with Maya's face on it, the reality could be that their both alive somewhere? Maybe their working together or they really are A's victims. It bothers me that the mystery of Maya's death isn't as important as the mystery of Ali's death. As we see, everyone on this show is tied to each other. Even Nate mentioned that Jenna spoke fondly of Maya as she drove her to school a couple of times. Who knew Maya was even friends with Jenna?

As for new comer CeCe, we've only just brushed the tip of the iceberg with this one. Although the writers keep adding characters in at their convenience, I guess its something to distract us from going mental trying to figure out who A is.  As someone from Ali's past she must definitely have some insight into what made Ali who she really was. Although none of the liars new who she was, she knew about each and every one of them. Very typical of Ali to be so mysterious. But does that mean CeCe knew about A torturing Ali as well? Why did she come back to Rosewood? Why did her and Jason have a rocky breakup? Why was that summer so "intense." I have a feeling that CeCe is going to play a major role in finding out the truth about Ali. The way she meddled in Emily's business by scaring Jenna off was pretty odd though. What is it to her? I'm sensing that either she is going to fall for Emily, or worse, Emily is going to turn straight for Nate. Either way, having another Alison in town doesn't seem to be the best of idea's at this point.

On a different note, Aria's momma falling for hot coffee shop owner. Score! Who says that Byron can be the only one with a younger partner? Its funny how karma has a way of coming back to you though. After Byron has a fling with his much younger student, his young daughter had a fling with her relatively older teacher, only for the wife to find a younger sexier boyfriend. She had absolutely no chemistry with Ted, which is a good thing since Hannah's mother has actually fallen for him. But what does that say about the holy man himself?? He's a pastor on a dating site..... That's awkward. Doesn't he know how small towns work?? And for a little spoiler alert, do we finally get to meet Ezra's mother? The mother that's unnaproving of Aria because she believes that Aria will ruin him??? They've come a long way and gotten through some pretty big obstacles, but I cannot say I don't agree with her just a little bit. Ezra has lost a lot to gain Aria's love, but than again he also might be a pretty little liar. Oh this show is just too contradicting!

Memorable Quotes

  • Hannah: My blood is not on your evidence.
    • Wilden: Than why do you look so scared?
  • Aria: Its not just me right? That chick is freakishly like Alison.
    • Spencer: Or was Alison freakishly like her.
  • Ella: Why am I asking you? You wear forks as earrings.
  • A: See how easy it is for me to get your blood.
