"Until we find a way."
What a cliffhanger, the writers and producers have left us with!! Its almost as if this was a mid-season finale. The gang got so much closer to the cure, almost too close, since the cure might not actually be as beneficial as we thought it would be.
How many times will we have to say goodbye?? Until they find a way, I guess. But will they ever? Klaus made it clear, that no amount of love for Caroline, will make him revert his vengeance against Tyler. I mean, why would it? Not only has Tyler pissed him off multiple times by turning his hybrids against him and threatening to kill him, he's dating the girl that Klaus loves. His love for her, let Tyler get a head start on leaving town, but if he finds him, he will kill him. This kind of behavior is what differentiates Klaus from Damon and is the reason why Caroline cannot find love for Klaus anywhere in her heart. Basically, Tyler is the brand new Katherine, on the run from the evil hybrid vampire for the rest of his eternal life. Nevertheless, that scene was not a optimistic Valentines day scene. The waterworks were definitely in full affect, only because out of all the couple on this show, Caroline and Tyler are the ultimate definition of pure love.
Speaking of Katherine, we've been wondering where she's been hiding ever since her last flea. Well it seems that she has been ahead of everyone and has been waiting for the whole gang to arrive so she could wake Silas. But how did she know anything about Silas? Why would she want to wake Silas? Is it because she wants the cure? If anyone has got the whole being a vampire thing down, its Katherine, so why would she want the cure? Is her mission also to give the cure to Klaus? Even if that was her idea, that would mean she has to get close to Klaus, and she's been running from him for 500 years because he despises her and wants to see her dead, so that idea seem to be ruled out. But if that would be the case, than I guess what she did was really in everyones best intention, well except Jeremy's.
While Jeremy was trying to pry to cure from Silas' frozen hands, Katherine just flew in impersonating Elena and fed his blood to the immortal soul. But would the director's really kill of Jeremy?? If Jeremy dies, that means that Elena has lost everyone that she loves forever, which just means she's on the verge of a crazy spree. Aside from the fact that she has this love for Damon and Stefan, that kind of love cannot replace the love of her closest family members. Especially with Jeremy, they have gotten so much closer since the very first season. They've bonded over loosing family members, Jeremy has coped with having his sister turn into a vampire, she's accepted him becoming a vampire hunter and they've worked on their relationship so that he doesn't want to kill her. Their basically the closest two people there could ever be, so loosing her brother would just be horrible. Fans have to hold tight till next week to see if he survives after he's been drained of his blood by Silas. Also, if Jeremy does end up dying, Elena will hunt Katherine down, even if it kills her.
The most interesting part of this episode is the theme of "hurting and betraying people when you finally reach something you want." Klaus let Rebekah know that according to the sword and the map, there was only one dose of the cure. Rebekah wasn't greedy, she let Stefan know that there was only one cure. She than proceeded to break his neck and kill him when she realized that if she would give him the cure, he would feed it to Elena. Betrayed!!!!!! But what goes around comes around and after she finally reached the cave, she got shot by the other vampire hunter, which made it possible for Elena to get there with Stefan. Stefan stayed behind to help Damon, who was held captive the whole time as leverage for the vampire hunter. This is where Damon's selflessness came in. He was completely down, hurt and abused. He knew Elena wanted the cure and despite his need for the cure, he told Stefan to go help Elena get it. He trusted Stefan enough to be Elena's accomplice. He than helped Rebekah and took the bullets out of her. Things are really changing him. But despite everything, no amount of love will stop someone from doing something that benefits them.
Yet, its great that there is no cure. It would be to easy and pretty pathetic if Elena was fed the cure and became a human. They need more spice. In order to kill Silas, you must feed him the cure. In order to make Klaus human, you need to feed him the cure. No one wants Silas alive and no one wants Klaus to go on a killing rampage for killing Cole. But theres only one cure. In order to get the cure, you must raise Silas, whose got him own vengeance and need to kill everyone for being buried alive for so many years. Katherine took care of the cure, but now what will happen with it? How will the story with Silas unravel? The only reason that Shane was looking for Silas was because Silas went into his mind and made him believe that he would be able to see his family again. Its pretty much all a hoax as he makes you see the people that died that are closest to you and tries to lure you in to waking him up. Which means that Silas has a plan of his own, and I doubt that would be to spare anyone from death.

"So can I have a moment, Just to say hello. Can u let your anger go? It's been a long year And I'm finally ready to be here."
