"All things truly wicked start from innocence."
The girls are seeing red. Everywhere! Hands down one of the craziest season finales of Pretty Little Liars ever!!! The writers and producers sure now how to keep the suspense coming, twisting plot lines and skewing the perceptions between whats real and whats just a dream. Who is good and who is evil??? Whose working on what team?? The real shocker, aside from finding out who red coat is, was that the person calling all the shots for at least two seasons, ended up in the exact same boat as the little liars.

Toby is in fact alive. Mona keeps her word. When Spencer stole Malcolm from his karate class (ha I was right), she proved to Mona that she really was reliable and trust-worthy. When Mona left Spence alone in the "lair" Spence arranged a meeting with Toby. As Toby thought he was meeting with Mona, he stumbled upon Spencer. A new, dangerous and more carefree Spencer; a courtesy of the heavier eye-makeup. Oh the difference a little bit of black around the eyes can do. Toby admitted that he played along with Mona's scheme of pretending to be dead in the forest. It was "A's" plan all along. Toby also confessed that the reason he was on the A-team was only to protect Spencer. They left together to a hidden motel, that only Toby knew about and proceeded to have a beautiful night together. The writers have a way of making these on-screen relationships really powerful. After everything that Spencer has been through; thinking her boyfriend had betrayed her, thinking he was dead, ending up in a mental institute, she really deserved a night of pure bliss. And seeing pretty eyes cry in her arms after realizing just how much pain he put her through while trying to protect her was truly heart breaking. Its okay Toby. We forgive you!!!
Hannah took a job babysitting Malcolm and found out that Spencer was in fact the girl that stole him from karate class. This led the girls to the revelation that Spence was on the A-team. To test their friends loyalty, they dressed Hannah up in a red jacket and led Spencer to a bathroom with the idea that if she followed the fake red coat it meant that she obviously didn't know who red coat was and was still on their side. That's when Spencer told them about everything she's been up to and the plan for Friday. Honestly though, for the girls to turn up the music when scheming in their own kitchens and than talk openly in a public bathroom about Spence pretending to be on the A-team and than concocting a plan to take down red-coat, was just plain stupid.
Friday comes and Spencer is with Toby and Mona, pretending that she's calling the girls to come to the "party." At this time the girls are already inside of the house, hoping to get in before red-coat can spot them. Mona than tells Toby to "take care of Spencer" and he pretends that he's taking her outside and getting rid of her. You now in the sense that she's been used for all she's worth and now she's no longer an asset, but a liability. While Spencer and Toby are out, the girls corner Mona. Toby and Spencer separate, as the plan is for Spencer to go to the plane the red-coat is landing in and see who red coat is without being seen. We found out earlier that Toby doesn't know who red coat is either, all he knows is that she is the big boss.

But someone else is also involved in this scheme. Earlier in the episode we see that Jenna is back in town and she is working with Shawna. She also gets a text from "A" telling her of a meeting place. Later on in the episode we see Melissa also go to Jenna's house where the three girls talk about the "party" and mutter "the bitches will all be there." I'll get back to this point in a second, I promise. But that being said, someone ends up lighting the house on fire, trapping Aria, Emily, Hannah and Mona inside. It can't be red-coat because she's landing in her private plane at the time. It also can't be Spencer, whose spying on her and it can't be Toby because he gets knocked out by the same person who lit the house on fire. So that leaves one of the three, Jenna, Melissa or Shawna to have lit the house on fire.

I'll get off on a little tangent, cause blogging about Pretty Little Liars is never really easy. Its like trying to explain a really complicated maze. After literally a whole season without Jenna, she has finally returned and apparently with a vengeance. I spoke briefly about the trio that I believe is responsible for the fire. Their obviously suspicious and Emily heard them speaking with a motive that might have been to kill the little liars. Why? We're still not sure. I mean Jenna has a reason I guess, but why the other two? I mean, Shawna is new in town. But the trio gets even more suspicious. On the drive home, the little liars and Mona see Wilden's car. Clearly someone pulled it out of the lake. Let's not ask how thats possible or how the computer with the video is still working, but aside from revealing that Ashley hit Wilden, we see that Shawna and Jenna were the ones that took Wilden off the road and possibly helped him? But how are they at all involved with Wilden? Why were they at the scene of the crime? Coincidence or by choice? Could this be an extension of the NAT team? why is it all connected to Ali?? And why are they after the girls?
This also gets into who the hell is the A-team anymore? I mean, Toby was only in on it to protect Spencer. Spencer was only on it for a second. Mona really didn't call any of the shots she just listened to big boss. But was she really A? At the end of the episode, the girls see something shocking and disturbing in Wilden's trunk, which was obviously the finale and we must wait to find out what it is. They also get a text from A and by them I mean everyone plus Mona. That means she isn't sending the texts signed A. Maybe she hasn't been for awhile. Red-coat is calling all the shots, but it seems like there are two teams fighting against each other and to sabotage the liars. Yet, does red-coat want to kill or sabotage the liars? I mean, if it was in fact Ali who is red-coat and who pulled them out of the fire, than that argument is invalid. Is she acting as their guardian angel to protect them from the trio, that I actually think is the real A-team sending threats and working against the liars? Mona has suddenly fallen from the crazy to the used and abused. She was mainly a puppet on strings and now she's back on the other side, not on the A-team.

I already touched upon the Toby and Spencer relationship. Caleb was nowhere in sight this week, which could be suspicious or he could just be out looking for his father and trying to make amends. Than again where is Caleb and Paige? They have been kind of suspicious this season and Paige does have a past with Shawna. But the couple that really killed me was Ezra and Aria. Obviously, we saw them crashing and burning (no pun intended) for awhile now, but Aria finally got the bravery to tell Ezra that whatever they had burned out and they needed to move on. It was hard to watch because I'm not sure if she's doing it out of her own feelings or her fear that A will get the best of their relationship or potentially hurt his son? Is she really threatened by Maggie when Ezra is clearly not taking a job because he wants to be with her? Than when she tells him its over, he grabs her passionately into his arms as if its the last time he could ever do that, and she still walks away. Why?? The passion clearly didn't die out for either of them. Its clearly really hard for both of them. You can see that when he comes in as her substitute teacher and the way they look at each other. Whats the point of this torture?? I am and forever will be an Ezria believer. Plus, Ezra has a point, she's graduating in seven months. They made it this far, they can totally tough it out.
So now we're left with answered questions that leave us with more questions. How's that even possible? I'm not sure. But what did you guys think of the finale? Do you think that Toby really is trust worthy again? Will Ezra and Aria find a way back to each other eventually? Are Caleb and Paige potentially on the A-team? Who is the A-team anymore? What's up with Jenna, Shawna and Melissa? Why are they all working together? Who is red-coat? Could it really be Ali? Is she really A??? Did the girls all just have hallucinations? Was Mona really on the other side of the tracks this time or was this all part of A's game? Are the girls suppose to trust Mona now? What do you think was revealed in Wilden's trunk?? Could this show get any crazier?? I don't dare ask. Till next season my loves! Hats off to everyone working on the production of #PLL. You really give me a thrill each and every week.
