Not the most thrilling installment of Gossip Girl in my opinion. It lacked that umph and I guess the story lines are getting a little boring. I would love if they focused more on the main cast rather than on Diana and Charlie. But I must admit I love the idea of a theater that interacts with the audience. Mysterious and enjoyable.
To me Blair seemed forced this week. After they built her up as this mature woman who only enjoyed her high-school games occasionally they really contradicted that this weekend. Not only was she obsessing over Chuck, but she was acting very immaturely for someone who is suppose to become a mother and a Princess. If it wasn't for Dorota (who cracked me up the whole episode, especially in her spy gear) Blair would have never let this go, which means she never let Chuck go. She's just lying to herself and everyone around her and doing everything in her power to keep Chuck around in some shape or form. The tension between them was hot though and when they kissed I felt like everything had fallen into place. I loved an episode without Louie!
Charlie seems to be in a lot of trouble if anyone outs her, although personally I would make it out too seem as though Max was the crazy one making up stories and I would pretend not to know him. That way she would get rid of him from her life. It was interesting to watch this story unfold as Serena ran into Max who was looking for Ivy, when on the Upper East Side we know her as Charlie. And the mastermind behind this whole plan? Diana. She did this all for her benefit. As we found out she is working with Nate's grandfather to bring him "onto the right path" she is doing everything in her power to keep Nate and Serena on the NYSpectator and take down Gossip Girl. But why would Nate's grandfather care to about Gossip Girl? What connection does she have to him and to Bart Bass? I smell a rat. And Nate is so god damn naive I just want to hit that pretty head of his. Sure the first time a girl screws with your mind its fine, but come on Nate WAKE UP!
Other Thoughts
-Do you really think Chuck has changed? He was so cute when he was saving the ducky at the duck pond. Is it all an act?
- Dan really needs a story line. He rose to fame quickly and fell just as fast. And even after Rufus's pep-talk he still lied about being "on tour." Why?
-Who will Serena believe? Her awesome friend Charlie or Max- a stranger she just met?
- Are Blair and Serena friends anymore? At this point Serena looks like a self-centered biatch in my opinion. She doesn't care at all about her pregnant best friend.
