Obsessed. 1 word to describe what I am with this show. And if your a Delena lover than this was definitely and episode worth watching!!!

Right from the start this episode is on one mission and one mission only- to figure out W.T.F is written on those cave walls. It leads back to the originals; the vikings. The one they all fear is Mikeal and thanks to Katerina, he is now awake. But whats so scary about him? After Elena confronts Rebeka during cheerleading practice showing her evidence from the cave she prompts Rebeka to talk to her. Through very vivid flashbacks we get the story of how the originals became vampires. One major discovery= Mikeal is Klauses, Rebekas, and Elijahs father!

Rebeka's family moved from Europe and were neighbors to the werewolves. During the full moon they would hide underground to protect themselves until one day Klaus and his younger brother snuck out to watch the men turn into beasts. The younger brother was attacked leaving Mikeal and his wife to turn to one of the witches for help. When she wouldn't the mother decided to take matters into her own hands and allowed for all her children to become vampires- To have strength, agility, and everything needed to protect themselves in this world, while being immortal. This would have been impossible if it wasn't for the fact that their mother was indeed the Original Witch. (Yes which means she put the hybrid curse on her own son and that necklace belongs to her). The reason she put the curse on her son? Because he was a product of her love with a werewolf and not with Mikeal. Soon after she was killed, and to Rebecca's knowledge (and according to what Klaus told her) her mother was killed by Mikeal. That is why they fear him and hate him and do want him to come back.

After hearing this story and matching it up with Ric's translations of the pictures Elena realizes that the story Rebeka knows is inaccurate. Mikeal did not kill her mother, Klaus did! He lied to her for over 1000 years to keep her by his side so he wouldn't have to be alone and so she wouldn't want to resurrect the father but in reality. The intriguing part of all of this to me is the way Rebeka reacted to the truth. She broke down crying and I felt sympathy for her only because A THOUSAND years later, she still feels pain at loosing her mother. This puts a twist on the plot-line completely because now I think Rebeka is going to seek revenge, and help her father in killing Klaus. I think she is also going to become closer to Elena. For a moment in the beginning of the story Klaus had lost his badass appeal, being more like a victim than the hybrid we all feared. That belief obviously didn't last long when I found out his manipulation can stretch for quite a LONG time.

I have lost all my respect for Stefan. Truthfully I believed in what Elena was doing and actually thought that it would help but after this episode I have ridden him off in my book. I don't even think he is really compelled. He has full knowledge of what he is doing and why he is doing it. After Damon freed him from the dungeon he took him out on a little bonding time to remind him what freedom was like. (Its also quite hilarious when Damon decides to stick to liquor for the night and Stefan indulges in blood straight in front of everybody. No shame). The outcome of all this brotherly bonding. Stefan now realizes that when he's free from compulsion he is going to leave and live his life. Is he really just that big of an asshole or is he pretending. No we have concluded he is and props to that punch in the face that he got from "brother." He deserved that and 10 more.

The ending, holy crap the ending, deserves its own paragraph. Its incredible how much emotion the writers and producers can put into a short scene. After a long day of "work" Elena comes home to find Damon in her bed. Surprise Surprise. But instead of the usual pushing him away she embraces it. She starts telling him about her findings from Rebeka and mentions "she loves blindly and recklessly, even if it consumes her" and in that moment I think she realized that she is madly in love with Damon. In truth the relationship with Stefan had run its course, she lost him. Trying to save him has failed but Damon hasn't failed to be by her side throughout anything. If anything he is the only one who is by her side all the time. We don't see her best friend Bonnie there for her much, nor do we see Caroline or Jeremy that interested. Everyones got their own issues and dilemma's and although they are fighting against the same thing they have their individual struggles. Damon is always by Elena's side protecting her, teaching her how to fight, making her laugh, wiping away her tears, and risking his life for her. That my friends is true love.

Elena: She's a thousand year old vampire who joined the cheerleading squad. Theres a whole different set of rules here.
Damon: It's family day at vampire rehab. I'm paying a visit to my baby brother.
Rebeka: You do not threaten me. You learn what I allow you to learn is that clear?
Damon: You've been on this bunny diet for over 50 years.
Rebeka: A witch is natures servant. A vampire is an abomination of nature.
Rebeka: he said she broke his heart so he would break hers. He tore it from her heat as Niklaus watched.
Rebeka: I will rip you apart, and I get my temper from my father.
Mikeal: Get him back to Mystic Falls and I'll gladly draw a stake though NiKlauses heart. Fail, and i'll gladly drive it through yours.
Stefan: Better be careful brother. Your humanity is showing.
Damon: Go ahead kick, yell, scream. I'm sure you've been planning your rant all day.
Elena: She's just a girl who lost her mom too young and she loves blindly and recklessly even if it consumes her. And that when all is said and done there's nothing more important then the bond of family. I'm not mad at you for letting him out Damon. I think your going to be the one to save him from himself. It wont be because he loves me, it'll be because he loves you.
