Pretty Little Liars- This Is A Dark Ride

All aboard the Ghost Train, that brings loads and loads of Halloween fun. Okay, I wouldn't call that fun at all, actually I'd call that a normal night in the lives of the little liars. I'm going to write this episode down as one of scariest episode of Pretty Little Liars to date. This year's Halloween episode knocked last years out of the ball park, keeping us on the edge of our seat the whole time with great costume manipulation and a whole bag of empty clues and new secrets.

Garrett's dead. Now the question is, is the story he told Spencer the truth or is it a lie? Obviously, A wanted Garrett dead for awhile now and from the looks of it, Garrett was scared of something so he probably had some kind of indication that he was in danger. Could he have possibly decided to spill the beans and let the little liars know exactly what happened that night before he died?? Lets try and digest the situation. According to Garrett, the night of Alison's death, she got into an altercation with Jenna. Garrett pretended to hit Ali with a shovel and than played along with Ali as to make it seem like he killed her. Now we know why Jenna is so scared of Garrett and why there was such strong evidence against Garrett. But we didn't know the second piece of the puzzle. Apparently, after that incident, Garrett found Ali talking to Aria's father in a heated discussion. Now this could go both ways, either Byron was mad at Ali for something (whatever that could possibly be), or he was having a romance with her, granted his history with young blonde school girls. Either way, I don't believe that the story ends with Byron killing her, yet this is just another piece to puzzle that we are unable to solve. As for who killed Garrett? I could see it being Toby, who clearly has had it out for Garrett since the very beginning.

Lets get to the part that indicates Mona is actually psychotic and working with more than one person. Someone had to have killed Garrett in those short seconds when Spencer went to find Aria. But while someone was killing Garret, someone with really long fingernails was attacking Spencer and trying to choke her. It seems like the goal for tonight was to kill everyone. My guess is that the person with the long fingernails, that drugged Aria, was a man and not Mona. Mona had to be dressed up as Caleb, since she was wearing that creepy porcelain mask when Hannah thought she was snuggling Caleb. This means that in addition to Toby and Mona, there is in fact a third A and it isn't Caleb and it isn't Noel or Jenna, since all were present at the party.

But who wasn't present? Mr. Ezra Fitz. He gave Aria some bull excuse about having to go to some book convention in Philadelphia during the time of the ghost train. Although the story could have been believable, his eyes were telling a much more deceitful story. Than after all was said and done, he was surprisingly at the scene of the crime without Aria having to call and inform him of anything. He mysteriously heard that someone got hurt on the train and drove next to it? Come on Ezra, you really need better lies. Why don't you admit that you were the one trying to kill your girlfriend? Alright, I know thats me jumping to conclusions but still, what else am I suppose to get out of this? I can't really blame it on Adam Lambert.

As if it wasn't gruesome enough that Garrett died, it was horrifying to see poor Aria stranded in a coffin like box, with his dead body at her side. How do you cope with that? Sick minded people. Sick minded Mona. I must admit I'm secretly happy that this time something terrible was happening to Aria. I feel like every time things go down, she's always out of the picture spending romantic time with Ezra. Its about time she got a taste of the A medicine. The question ultimately remains, who was trying to push the box with Aria out of the train. There were two voices who were arguing about pushing the box out, a girls voice and a guy's voice, but who could it have been? If it was in fact Toby, wouldn't Caleb have to be in on it as well? Or could it have been Paige instead of Mona? Ultimately, it could have been Ezra. One down, a couple more to go.

Although everything in the episode makes some sort of sense, I mean its not completely out there that Aria almost died, Garrett died and Spencer was attacked. It's not even shocking that the black bag from the funeral home was found in the ice of the refreshments. A is capable of all of that. What is eerily creepy and more disturbing than the porcelain dolls, is the blonde girl that was following Ashley around. Who was the little girl. She obviously wasn't alive. Will there be an explanation for this? Will Ashley be haunted by this little girl? Or will this just remain part of the Halloween episode? In some strange way, I feel as if this little girl is the connection to last years Halloween episode and the story Ali told about two twin sisters and how one of the sisters killed the other one. Could this actually be Ali's twin sister? But how is she back? Why? And why is she visiting Ashley?

Since Pretty Little Liars is not returning until next January, its safe to say that we will just live in utter confusion about so many new revelations. It wouldn't be in style for the episode to end without a cliffhanger, so here it is. Outside of what seems to be freshly covered up land, possibly from where Ali's grave was dug up and her body stolen, emerges a hand. A real live hand of a girl that is buried alive under all the dirt. But who could be buried alive? It clearly cannot be Ali since way to much time has passed since her time of death and now. Unless she was alive to begin with and someone just buried her after holding her captive? I'm not sure where this show is going or what its trying to tell us at this point all I know is that parents are seeing dead people, people are being buried alive, and people are being killed left and right. No one is safe and everyone is a suspect. Its unfortunate that Spencer cannot see that. Well folks, I leave you with this.

"I told them I wanted to do an art project for Halloween. They said we don't like to talk about Halloween around here, it's suppose to have bad connotations for some of the patients. I guess I see the point. But I love Halloween. All the dressing up, being other people, tricks and treats, treats that turn into tricks. Its better than Christmas; more makeup. And this is going to be the best Halloween ever. I bet someone's life on that."

The Most Memorable Halloween Episodes

With October 31st creeping up slowly, its time to indulge in some of the spooky, yet festive Halloween episodes. With a score of Halloween installments dating back to when the television was first invented, it can be quite tricky to figure out which episodes are worth re-watching. It would be a crime for us to categorize these episodes at “Top 10 Best Halloween Episodes” because that’s simply does not do these episodes justice. We will just opt for making this your guide to some of the most entertaining and memorable episodes to date.

v Friends- The One With The Halloween Party (2001):
Chandler and Monica throw a Halloween party, complete with Monica’s uptight temperament. Ultimately, Joey dressing up as Chandler and Chandler donning a bright pink bunny costume are the highlights of this episode. You just have to love your friends.

v Boy Meets World- And Than There Was Shawn (1998)
Although a pigment of Shawn’s imagination and not an actual Halloween episode, the flickering lights, scary music, on cue dramatics from Eric and a stabbed Mr. Feeny provide a wonderfully wicked atmosphere. For the actual Halloween episode check out Witches of Pennbroke.

v That 70’s Show- To Old To Trick or Treat, To Young To Die (2000)
This episode is what happens when a group of teens is too old for Halloween. Full of Alfred Hitchcock references and Fez in girl’s underwear, there’s no question why this makes the top of our list. Also check out 1999’s episode, Halloween.

v Family Matters- Stevil (and Stevil II) (1996)
Urkel gets a brilliant plan to get an identical ventriloquist dummy for his act, which he’s horrible at. When lightening strikes the dummy, Stevil, he comes alive and tries to kill each person in the Winslow family that’s standing in the way of his dreams. Because you know there is nothing scarier than a dummy.

v Family Guy- Halloween on Spooner Street (2010)
“Were under attack by monsters, dear god,” screams Stewie and the episode literally speaks for itself. As Stewie faces his first Halloween where he thinks he’s going to get attacked by zombies, vampires and a Mexican princess, Meg attends her first high school Halloween party and Peter plays pranks on his friend Quagmeir.  Truthfully, you can never go wrong with a Family Guy episode.

v Pretty Little Liars- The First Secret (2011)
A flashback episode to a time when Ali was still alive and the girls were still her minions, it starts with Ali telling a creepy story about a twin that killed her sister. As the new girl in town fights Ali for her Queen B dominance, the girls go to a Halloween party where they get pranked by Ali, whose getting pranked by A. The episode provides missing pieces into the ongoing Alison Diaurentes murder mystery.

v How I Met Your Mother- Slutty Pumpkin (2005)
Ted continues his yearly tradition and goes to the Halloween party on the rooftop where he waits for “the slutty pumpkin” that he fell in love with a couple of years ago. Not even Barney’s proposition to attend the Victoria Secret yacht party can change his mind. Meanwhile, Marshall and Lily win the best couple costume contest with their Jack Sparrow and parrot costumes.

v Will and Grace- Boo! Humbug! (1998)
Will and Grace’s Halloween movie marathon gets ruined when get stuck babysitting their friends kids. Jack and Karen have no shame as they attend a Halloween parade in the city and Karen becomes an honorary drag queen.

v The Simpsons- Simpson TreeHouse of Horror VI (1995)
As the longest running Halloween special, each year’s episode is different and memorable in its own way. The VI installment was split into three parts: Attack of the 50 Foot Eyesores, Nightmare on Evergreen Terrace and Homer. In the first part, advertisements and billboards come to life and attack the residents of Springfield. Part two is a tribute to Nightmare on Elm Street in which a Freddy Kreuger look alike attacks children in their sleep. The final segment pays homage to the Twilight Zone, in which Homer is lost in a three dimensional world. Tune in on October 7 for The Simpsons TreeHouse of Horror XXIII.

v Buffy The Vampire Slayer- Halloween (1997)
Dressing to impress can be quite tough. Buffy decides to impress Angel by wearing a dress from the 18 century, a time that she thinks was one of his favorite. Unfortunately, one bad spell later and everyone assumes their costumes persona; Buffy becomes a frail, weak and confused noble woman, Willow turns into a ghost and Xander into a soldier. Isn’t the point of Halloween to become someone that your aren’t?

The Vampire Diaries- Growing Pains

"One of the highlights of my transition... remembering everything you compelled me to forget."

Its a hard life being Elena Gilbert. Transitioning into a vampire can be quite the adventure. The season premiere of The Vampire Diaries picked up right where we left it off. Elena waking up from her slumber only to realize the road ahead is well, kind of eternal.Yet, Elena seems to be coping really well with the transition compared to some of her other vamp friends (Caroline). Its surprising given how emotional of a character she is and how much she never wanted this to happen. Aside from having a heightened sense of hearing, a hatred towards light bulbs, and some occasional trips, it seems as if she's doing just fine. Even the vivd and very alive flashbacks of memories Damon compelled her to forget don't phase her. Or do they??

Everyone in Mystic Falls is not taking Elena's transition very well. Poor old Matt seems to be the center of attention in this whole situation, well at least for Damon who tries to kill him every chance he gets. His reaction might be a little impulsive, but isn't that the Damon we all know and love? Stefan can't seem to accept the fact that he let Elena die. So basically everyone is looking for a solution to fix this mistake, especially Bonnie.

To save Elena, Bonnie tries to kill herself in order to reach her on the other side and pull her back from the dead. "That's never happened in the history of vampirism," said Damon and boy was he right. Before I even get to the whole Gramz thing, I just want to make this clear. After so many centuries of people turning into vampires and dying because of the consequences, there is no way that Elena could be an exception to the rule! And if the writers were to go in this direction, I would stop watching. But they didn't so all is well. Whats really irritating how Bonnie's character is used as the only source of answers for anything. Someone's dead? revive them. Someone's missing? Find them. Someone's sick? Heal them. She's a witch but that doesn't mean she's God.  Everytime something goes wrong Bonnie is chanting away, nose bleed in tow while Jeremy freaks out. This has really got to end because I don't believe for a second that there won't be very dear and near consequences for messing with the universe's plan. Also Bonnie deserves another witch partner in crime. The ratio of vampires to witches is pretty slim. Either way Bonnie's attempt at brining Elena back from the dead was unsuccessful and she a very severe warning from Gramz that messing with this type of magic was dark and dangerous.  Duh, I don't think the spirits are really fond of Bonnie at this point.

But the use and abuse of witch Bonnie doesn't stop there. When she is unsuccesful with Elena, Klaus (whose in Tyler's body) threatens to rip Tylers heart out and jump into another human if Bonnie doesn't reverse the spell. This of course means more tapping into the dark magic for Bonnie. Ultimately, with no choice but to perform the spell and save Klaus and Tyler, Bonnie ends up hurting her Gramz on the other side. I'm not really sure how stuff on the other side works, I mean Gramz was dead and now they hurt her over there? Whatever it was bad.Sadly to say we won't be seeing anymore of Klaus in Tylers body, which is unfortunate because it was so bloody incredible to watch Tyler throw down little phrases like "love" while tricking Caroline into having vampire sex with him.

Which leads into the revenge of the council on all the vampires in Mystic Falls. Obviously, Alaric outed them all and now a plan to kill all the vampires has been put into action, lead by Pastor Young, whom everyone seems to know, yet we've never met. This isn't anything new from the writers of TVD though, we just have to pretend and imagine when he throws down phrases like "you babysat my children" to Elena that we've known him all our life. This spin on the show is pretty intense if you ask me. Previously, the vampires have only dealt with authority, like police exposing them, or other vampire's that were stronger than them. Than there was hybrid Klaus. But now a fight between a religious figure kind of sets the scene up as a fight between God and the Devil, or if you're a non-believer, Good and Evil.

Since I sort of drifted off the Elena transisitioning trail, lets bring it back a bit. Elena, unable to feed, is given a choice, until her, Stefan and Rebekah are all locked up the vervaine infested stables of Pastor Young's little farm house. As the clock ticks, Elena looks paler and paler, ultimately looking as if she's on her last breath. In a heartwarming speech through the walls of the "prison", Rebekah actually starts feeling some remorse for attempting to kill Elena. That's when she gears up a plan to help Elena feed on one of the security guards. As Elena feeds on the blood, joy, bliss and power courses through her body and I feel a little squeamish watching this.  But hey, mission accomplished.

Which leads me into my favorite topic ever, relationships. Klaus was clearly a jerk for saving Caroline over his sister in the wreckage that got Rebekah imprisoned by the council. His reasoning is valid, "you're an original, you can't be killed." Yet, that doesn't mean she wants to stay locked up in a cellar rotting while you save the other blonde that you have some fond desire for. Rude. This fight than escalted when Klaus re-entered his own body and was icing the last remains of Elena's blood to make more hybrids. Rebekah keeps trying and trying to make her and Klaus a family, after all that's all she has left, but he just pushes her further and further away, eventually snapping her neck after stating he really doesn't give a crap about her. Really touching scene.

Team Damon vs. Team Stefan. Well its obvious isn't it? A different type of love consumes both of the couples, but if Elena has eternity whats the rush? Stefan and Elena are sweet and caring and so very boring. Sitting on the roof contemplating "toghether forever" while the sun rises was great, but it had no passion. There was nothing exciting, nothing to actually make me think, "hey maybe they are in love." None of that. Even her speech about how she made the right choice in going back for him the night she died on the bridge was the best one she ever made. I just can't believe it. And you know why? Because scenes like the intense one between Damon and Elena happen. She remembers meeting him first. She remembers him telling her that he loves her but she belongs with Stefan. when she ask's if he was at the bridge last night and not Stefan, Damon replies "I would have saved you, in a heart beat no questions asked." Its obvious Elena wants to be treated like an individual that has decisions and Stefan respects that. Damon doesn't but only because he loves her so much and as someone who didn't have a choice in living (mainly because Stefan made him transistion) he never wanted that for Elena. On the surface, it makes Damon look like a jerk, but in reality, his motives are more raw than anyone could ever imagine. Stefan has this whole concept of free will, even if it will lead to disastrous things. Damon just acts, without thinking, but using his heart (that he always mentions doesn't exist.) Which one would you want, someone who lets you make your own bad decisions or someone who cares so much they do what's best for you regardless of who it hurts?? Or maybe both??

Lastly, TVD never leaves the scene of a crime without a cliffhanger and this time it surrounded the movement led by council member Pastor Young. While he has all of his followers together, cause it looks like they are all possessed or something he speaks about him being chosen to lead the movement and pretty soon they will be able to pass through the gates and reuinite in eternity. Than in a creepy manner he startes "We are the beginning" and blows the place up. What does this even mean? What is the beginning? Why was there such an emphasis placed on them passing out the vervain? How are they going to fight the vampires if they are dead? When he says meet in eternity, does he mean they are going to come back in different form and fight this battle? I have this strange feeling we are moving into the zone of zombies and I'm not sure how I feel about that. I guess we'll have to see.

90210- Till Death Do Us Part

One life lesson we could all learn from the season premiere of 90210 is that we should have our cellphones with us at all times. Otherwise bad things happen. In past episodes, the story line has started getting very elaborate and hard to believe. Yet this season premiere was one of the better ones.

As they jumped right into the story, we continued exactly where we left off. The directors played it well, building up extreme tension as to whether or not Dixon would survive. Ultimately, he's still alive but with a high chance of paralysis from the neck down. That doesn't seem like a good fate for someone who was chasing his dream, that being music as well as the love of his life. Bad things come to good people. At least we got to see a softer side of Annie, one that wasn't still weeping over her love affair with the priest. Oh wait, she still was.

It was painful to watch Ade try to get over Dixon and sleep with some other guy, without knowing what was actually happening. This is another lesson. Never assume. Although things seemed hopeless for them both, in actuality Dixon couldn't reach Ade because he had no service. So much happens because of miscommunication these days. Although I am not much of an Ade fan, especially because its so easy for her to get into bed with a stranger, which by the way we see can be very serious cause he can turn out to be some crazy psycho, I  do admire her for leaving Vegas and most likely killing any hope for a future career, the minute she found out Dixon was in an accident.

Naomi and Max are such an awkward couple but that's what makes them so awesome. So Naomi has been in jail once or twice, the girl just gets herself in the messiest situations. This happens mainly because she thinks with her heart and not her head. And for someone as stuck up and prissy as Naomi, I applaud her for actually getting married in a Nevada court house without all the glitz and glamour. This literally proves that she is in it for the long haul. Although I do think they should have waited maybe until her engagement jitters wore off and until Max changed out of his failed wedding tux. Sometimes love can wait. Sadly, they cannot even find 5 minutes in bliss. Naomi always has to have someone out to get her. If it isn't her sister, than its competition from school, and now its her husbands best friend. Game on.

Navid and Liam really need to get over Silver. There isn't anything special about her. Especially because she can't decide which guy she's really in love with and she want's to have a baby with her gay best friend. Yes, Teddy has great genes and that baby would be precious, but I just can't seem to think that this whole process doesn't have to be so rushed. She was in love with Liam. Let that love grow. Let it endure hardships and struggles and ultimately what's meant to happen will happen. There's definitely a time span on her window of opportunity, I just don't think there should be such an emphasis on having the baby right now. Its actually quite selfish of her.

Unfortunately, Vanessa didn't burn in the fire. Having the crazy psychopath disappear is all I've ever dream of during each episode. Her manipulative ways are disgusting and Liam of all people doesn't deserve that. But don't expect her to go anywhere because she knew he didn't have the money to pay her off and conveniently his bar burned down. Although yeah it was sort of an accident, Liam didn't really light the place on fire, he was still there and he still let it happen. If this gets out it means a lot of trouble for him. And I'm sure it will get out, with the help of crazy one.

This was a very strong season premiere, hooking fans with compelling story lines and introducing a wide variety of new characters that are opening up the doors to many new plots. Lets just pray that Annie will get out of her slumber, Ade will stop being, well easy, Dixon will make a full recovery, Navid and Liam will get over Silver, Naomi will take down Max's best friend and live happily ever after and Silver and Teddy will become two great looking parents, Vanessa will die, and Carly Ray Jepsen will never make another appearance, or sing another song.

Gossip Girl- Gone Maybe Gone

"Crashing parties is one of our favorite past times."

You know they say distance makes the heart grow fonder. This break from Gossip Girl was exactly what was needed for the season to return for its last 10 episodes and be exceptionally, good. However, I believe that anyone who accentuates a Chuck and Blair limo scene with music from The XX is just brilliant. This weeks season premiere was everything that I could have wanted from a premiere and more, especially since the laughs and funny innuendo's did not stop coming.

Returning after such a long hiatus, all the characters reconciled with one mission in mind; find Serena van der Woodsen, who has been missing the whole summer. But each of them had a different reason for wanting to find Serena. Blair felt bad because she kicked her out of her house. Dan didn't really know why he was looking for Serena and Georgina was just looking for a dramatic ending to Dan's book. Either way, when everyone met up in the woods where Serena was last spotted, it was a moment that made me think, "Damn, I'm going to miss this group."

The Blair and Chuck relationship has got to be on everyone's mind. Although I have been rooting for them since the beginning of time, I'll be the first to admit that maybe putting themselves before their romance is a pretty good idea. If you don't love yourself you cannot love anyone else. Chuck doesn't love himself, Blair loves too many people all at once. They are the perfect couple and they will be together by the end of this season. Come on, if we waited it out for so many seasons a couple more episodes wont hurt us. Plus, its not like were not getting any Blair and Chuck action either. That opening sex scene. Oh mah god! I would take a pact like that with Chuck any day.

Truth be told, Serena is better off on her own. When she was confronted at the door by a crowd of her friends, it was a realization that they only drag her down. Everytime she's around them she is the uglier version of herself. It seems that when she runs away and pretends to be someone else, she's actually doing pretty good. Unfortunately, that's not the way things go and of course, by the end of the episode she found herself back at the loft in Manhattan. Old habits die hard. We didn't learn to much about her new beau Steven, so its only a matter of time until we're able to tell if this will be a long term thing or not.

As for Lily, its depressing to see her so blind in Bart's shadows. It hasn't even been a full season since she's changed from being this independant and down to earth woman (well as down to earth as an Upper East Sider could be) to a spoiled and stuck up socialite. Clearly, her husband has no love for her. What kind of mother wouldn't even worry about her own child for 4 months?? Pathetic. But I think its safe to say that Rufus is the bigger loser in this situation. Sleeping with Charlie Rhodes? Oh, I'm sorry Ivy Dickens. Disgusting!!! Of course its even sadder because he's getting played. Really, the role of an actress is perfect for Ivy, but this is a plan between her and the real Charlie. Why are they trying to seduce and manipulate poor Rufus??

Dan's life has got to be confusing enough, without having to see his father have sex with a crazy bi-polar chick. I mean, dude is in love with Blair. He got dumped by Blair because she's in love with the idea of Chuck. He's writing a tell all book about his ex-gf Serena, who just was missing the whole summer and now has assumed the identity of Sabrina at David and David's wedding, and his partner in crime is Georgina. Where he went wrong, I'm not sure. But say what you want, Georgina brings a lot of spice and excitement. Her antics with Blair and her insanely out of this world ideas are just what this season needed to brighten up.

I'll finish off by touching upon Chuck. His work in Dubai is going to prove to be very useful. Hopefully, it results in the decline of Bart's Empire and makes room for Chuck's empire, the one where Blair is his queen. As for Nate, well I think he's finally getting a story line. As he sold his top breaking story to Gossip Girl, he needs to find a new way to make his magazine stay afloat. I'm sure an underage sex scandal is not the way to go about it, but that seems to be the direction this story is going. After all, what legit boss agree's to grab a drink with a student?? Oh, its great to be back Upper East Side. XoXo

Memorable Quotes

  • Gossip Girl: Welcome back Upper East Siders. Call me superstitious but I've got a feeling this fall could be my last season. I've been at this a long time but age breeds wisdom and this I know, the best is yet to come.
  • Georgina: The part where you get it on is Fifty Shades of boring. No offense.
  • Chuck: Maybe you can translate for me, do you speak unstable psychopath?
  • GG: From all around the world, your favorite Upper East Siders are asking the same question. But I couldn't care less. Serena van der Woodsen is dead. At least to me.
  • Chuck: I don't understand.
    • Blair: Its noble and self less. Of course you don't understand.
  • Georgina: Something about mental hospitals really just gets me going.
    • Dan: Yeah, thats because your insane.
  • Blair: This isn't a reality show Sparks. This is reality a concept I know your a little fuzzy on.
  • GG: I think someones about to toss her cookies and the only thing more disturbing than finding her on drugs or in a psych ward is seeing her happy and healthy. Who wants that?
  • Dan: You think you two have an epic love but all you have are excuses.
  • Blair: The two of us in your limo, really tempting fate you know that. Unless thats your intention of course.
  • Chuck: Its the boy that blames the girl, not the man.
  • GG: Whats old is new again. I may not have much time left but some things are forever. The promise of love, the threat of war, and the fall of the mighty. And just because I've seen it all doesn't mean I've seen everything. And I gotta say, no one saw this coming. You may think my best days are behind me but this old girls still has some tricks. XoXo Gossip Girl.

Revenge- Resurrection

"Let the punishment fit the crime. Victoria took my mother away from me, its time I took her daughter away from her."

Ding Dong, the bitch is back. And the way she returned was nothing short of impressive. This weeks episode was filled with surprises, retribution and deception. After failing to get Charlotte's part of the inheritance, there was nothing else left for her to do but to revert to plan B. But plan B was dangerous and full of manipulation, which is clearly what Victoria is best at. Together with her spiteful husband Conrad, who was speechless when he found out she was still alive, she plotted against the man with the white hair. Its funny because although they were allies, she was always scared of him. He had been with her through everything, every murder, every spiteful plan and now she was turning her back on him like this. That's the thing about Victoria, when you look at her there is nothing left there, not even a speckle of soul. This union is a pretty bold step and opens up a lot of doors. First off could there be a possible reunion? Probably not since Conrad was a bit too eager to take his anger out on her face, but you never know what people are into these days. Secondly, what happens with the children. Honestly, no matter what kind of messed up stuff is going down, if I was Charlotte I would not let this go so easily. She is so eager to believe the best in people and believe her mother, whom I still cannot figure out. Is she in this to save herself and her daughter or is she just in it for the money? Also, Daniel is a pretty smart kid.  The way he stood up to Conrad and how he acted to help out his sister was noble. I hope this doesn't mean he will forgive his father and let him off the hook. The children are too easily fooled with made up stories rather than investigating and questioning the real motives. All I know is that the bond between Emily and Charlotte is really adorable and I know that Emily won't let anything happen to her sister. Its quite touching, but it must be very hard to live such a lie.

You can never really trust anyone. At least, that's the world Emily lives in. Once you know to much you become a liability and the only way to get rid of you is by death. Even after she forked over all her evidence against Victoria to the white haired man, enough evidence to exonerate him, he still attempted to kill her. Sure, he told her a little bit too much, like the fact that her mother was a smart and brave woman just like Emily and that they never really were successful in killing her. This means she's still out there right? But was she ever crazy or was that all Victoria's work?  Well I guess we won't be getting that answer from the white haired man since he got shot by the man spying and working for Takeda.  But who is he?? Why is he helping Emily??? Is he helping Emily??? In previews we see that she's not so fond of him. But than again, previews can be deceiving.

As usual, relationships. The most disgusting couple on this show has to be Ashley and Daniel, mainly because they aren't really in love. I think she might even be in love with Conrad. It makes senses since she's always wanted to become Victoria. Ashley and Daniel don't even have that connection, there's no spark. Its just empty. Same goes for Amanda and Jack. Although she really wants this relationship to work out, it just wont because both of these guys are still in love with Emily, probably because she's just so real and humble. Which is quite hilarious if you think about it because she's the one with the deepest secrets and lies. Yet, who is she in it for? Jack? She told Amanda that she would alter the pregnancy test results, and although she did and now Jack knows the baby is his, she still told Amanda that it wasn't. Is that only to get Amanda to skip town so she could be with Jack? Vicious is what it is. Its a dog eat dog kind of world out there in the Hampton's. Lastly, for someone who has been so out of the loop with relationships, you know ever since his gay encounters last season, I sense some romance. At least thats what I think the whole point of his accountant or whatever being introduced.

Honestly, I cannot foretell what the next few episodes hold, but all I know is that there will be a lot surrounding the death of the man in white and Emily's mother. Where the story will go once she finds her mother, I have no clue, but thats the beauty of a good T.V. show, us normal people just cant figure it out.

Revenge- Destiny

"Some say to believe in destiny is to dismiss the role of free will. And self determination cannot prevail the presence of faith. The truth is, the only part of destiny we can control is the fate we choose for another."
Putting aside the fact that the season finale of Revenge was quite some time ago, it was fairly easy to get confused in this weeks season premiere. When we left off, Charlotte was overdosed on drugs, Emily and Daniel had called it quits, Amanda made an epic return complete with a baby bump, Victoria died in a plane crash and the discovery was made that Emily's mother could still be alive. Its rather unclear how much time has passed since that season finale, but I'm assuming its been a good couple of months, enough time for people to cope with the fact that Victoria had passed-- although I'm not sure many people needed lots of time to grief.

The beginning of the episode like and episode within and episode, mysterious, showing a wreckage underwater and a  diver investigating. Underwater the diver found a picture frame, with Jack and Declan's picture, a locket that I was shown again briefly further on in the episode so we know its Jacks   and a body. There was a quick zoom to the side of what seemed to be a boat that read "Amanda." Is it safe to assume that the season is starting with a glimpse of what we could expect in the season finale?? All we know is that Jack's beloved boat is going to go under like the Titanic. Will he be the on the boat? Whose the man that they find in the wreckage?

Back to the present, it seems that since we last saw her, Emily has been traveling the world. In the first few minutes of the episode she is seen tied to a wood block in the ocean, drowning and seeing visions of her mother at the hospital. She's in Japan with Takeda and some other unknown man, who ends up saving her. Her reaction is the opposite of grateful though, she is downright mad screaming that she was so close to unlocking another secret about her mother. There's that opening hook. Where is her mother? Is she dead or alive? Have people really been keeping her from Emily?? As she makes her way back to the Hampton's, her teacher and leader Takeda has given up on her and states that she failed the mission. What could he possibly be teaching her?? What is the mission anyways? In season 1 it was clear that her goal was to get revenge on the Grayson's for killing her father. Is that still what he's referring too??

And the madness begins! Putting her good memories to use, Emily and Nolan, whom has been getting much buffer and working out quite a bit, visit the shut down hospital where Emily's mother was last seen just days before the father was locked up. From Emily's memories it is to be understood that she was in the psychiatric asylum and her last visitor was Victoria. Was the mother really crazy? Did they want to make her seem crazy? Was it Victoria's evil plan to make her crazy and steal her husband?? Where could she be now??

Just as we started season one, its memorial day weekend. This of course means huge and luxurious parties for anyone at the Hamptons. Organized by the one and only Ashley, in a Victoria-esque way, it alludes us back to a time just last year, when Emily spilled her drink on Daniel and their great "love" began. But oh things are so different now. The mission for Emily is still the same. The villain is gone. Charlotte is on a path of recovery and Daniel is dating Ashley. Reference to that awkward encounter between ex's and ex friends and you have to admit, Emily holds herself with dignity. But as any party in the Hampton's disaster is just waiting to happen and what follows is anything but short of entertainement. According to Charlotte's mentor, her drug tests came back negative, which means her road to recovery is no more and she is forced back to the rehab center. Before she leaves, she admits to Emily that ta-da Victoria really is alive.

The bitch is back. Not that she was every gone in the first place, but whats a Grayson without some hidden secrets. She's in hiding working with the government to incriminate her husband and as Victoria predicted, Mr. Grayson is only after the money, meaning that he wants to keep Charlotte in rehab as long as possible to get her mother's inheritance money. After all his manipulation on Daniel isn't doing him any good. With a secret camera in Victorias house, we quickly learn that she is in fact working with that white haired hit man from last season. You know the one who killed Emily's father and the one Nolan is so terrified of and the one that Emily couldn't kill. Victoria's solution to everything of course is eliminating the liability, in this case Emily. That's what they did to her father, her mother and now her. But unlike those before her, Emily is armed and ready. Remember, revenge is more powerful than anything. But what can we interpret from this? Did Victoria have her mother killed? How could she have eliminated her? This must mean she's not alive right?

One cannot just leave out the focus on relationships, especially Ashley and Amanda. For what its worth, Ashley finally achieved her 5 minutes of fame, shadowing in Victoria Grayson's footsteps, yet she's really in for a surprise next week. As much as the commercials and previews tried to make us believe that Daniel was in love with her, their relationship is anything but love. He's distance towards her, she's only in it for the money and the way he looks and yearns after Emily after so much time, well that's going to play a big role in the episodes to come. Now Amanda, she's still the most annoying person in the world and like Declan told his brother, Jacks got to let her know that he doesn't love her. After that kiss last season when Sammie was dying and the way they look at each other, Jack loves Emily. The feeling is definitely mutual although I'm not sure how the relationship would really work. If Emily were to expose Amanda, Amanda would expose Emily to everyone and thats the end of her revengeful plotting. Also, I don't seem to understand why Takeda wants Amanda and Emily to be allies in this mission. Similairly, whose baby is that? Because I am forced to believe it is not Jack's baby and the only reason Amanda even is pregnant is because Takeda wants Emily to be focused on the goal and not be distracted.

We start of the season already pretty clueless and way out of the loop. For the months that Emily was gone, so were we and now its time to get a grip on things. The story must continue with the return of the big bad wolf and according to the previews will follow with Emily taking one bold move. As Victoria took her mother from her, she must take Charlotte away from Victoria. Could Emily really be able to kill her own sister though?? Or by take away does she mean make Charlotte so disgusted of her mother that she never wants to look at fire. Season 2 seems to playing with wicked fire.

Glee- Britney 2.0

"We don't want Moreee"

I've expressed my dislike for Glee many times. When I tuned into last years  Britney episode, unimpressed. I decided to give the Britney 2.0 episode another go. Unfortunately, I still have nothing good to say.

The only worthwhile performance/ rendition was Rachel's cover of Britney's Oops... I did it again. The performance had substance and it was even mildly entertaining. It seemed possible that Britney's team was part of the successful performance, which paid homage to just how brilliantly a Britney song can be covered. You Drive Me Crazy was also acceptable because of the interesting acoustic sound. When one thinks of that song, lovey dovey serenading things do not come to mind, which is why it stood out.  It was also nicely combined with the other Crazy song, giving it a fresh new twist. Although I wasn't really feeling the whole "Grease" vibe on the bleachers.

One of my favorite Britney songs has got to be Everytime because it is filled with so much raw emotion and truth. The Glee version was sung properly, but it wasn't sung with any meaning.  Truthfully,  I don't think that anyone  can sing it with more feeling than Britney herself, since she wrote the song and knows exactly what heartache went into it. Nevertheless my ears did not bleed while listening to it, so i'll let it go.

I was not crazy about Gimme More, which was an epic fail. The Glee directors tried alluding to Britney's failed 2007 performance, but truthfully, one of those failed performances was enough. It was one that should have been quickly forgotten and never ever brought up again. Yet, Glee insisted on spinning it and just ended up being tacky and tasteless. While Brittany's character drank Fanta and ate Cheetos on stage, there was nothing humorous about it.  It was rather insulting to Britney and didn' even capture the nature of that fragile time. The director's missed the whole essence of Britney's dark times, which is unfortunate because it  could have made for a hell of an episode. Than again, I don't enjoy watching people profit on someone else's hardships. I'm not even going to mention Hold It Against Me because that was a crime to humanity.

Check out the video's and see for yourself. My advice for the future; we don't want more Britney episodes!

GLEE- Britney 2.0 previews

This really isn't that innocent.... but there's also no ooops. Check out Lea Michelle's GLEE rendition of Britney's 2001 hit, Oops I Did It Again. Is it getting hot in here or is that just me??

Yes, I would hold it against you Glee and I will. Glee's Hold It Against Me performance for the Britney 2.0 episode was also leaked and I must say I am not a fan. The whole cheerleader vibe, with robotically quick choppy movements is just not cutting it for me and I feel like I've been thrown back into high school. Yuck. I'm just a tad bit disappointed mainly because the whole vibe of the song was just really ruined. Take a look for yourself. Maybe it's just cause I really am not a Heather Morris fan... Really.

The Vampire Diaries- Alive

"Way to get her hopes up that's never happened in the history of vampirism"

With just 23 days until the season premiere of The Vampire Diaries, the anticipation is at its highest. Thankfully, the CW was nice enough to lend us some sneak peak clips to hold us over for the next two weeks.

In the clip titled "Alive" Elena wakens from her, well death, and has to come to terms with the fact that she is a vampire. As suspected, Elena had no idea that Meredith had given her vampire blood while she was in the hospital. She doesn't really remember anything at first but when Stefan mentions that there's been an accident she quickly remembers Matt. Filled with cunning and arrogant short responses from Damon, who clearly is not happy with Stefan's decision to save Matt ultimately killing Elena, he lets us know that unfortunately Matt is still alive thanks to "Stefan, the hero."

Another sneak peak clip released by E! online shows an argument between the brothers where Stefan claims that he made a choice and he will regret it forever. He wants to fix his mistake and his idea is to bring Elena back from the dead. Mind you, this has never been done on The Vampire Diaries so it will be interesting to see how the directors explain that phenomenon. Is it even possible? I'm sure if it was than they would have done it a million years ago. In all truthfulness, Damon's short, rude, honest and to the point responses have been dearly missed. "Than you shouldn't have let her die." Well obviously Damon, but if Stefan had thought like that we wouldn't be in this position now would we.

Bonnie is also going to have to step up her game this season. A lot is in store for her character as Kat Graham also admits that a person will be introduced thats going to be very influential to her life and possibly a new love interest. . As we know Bonnie is the reason that Klaus is in Tyler's body. Not only will she have to suffer the consequences of her decision from Caroline when she finds out, but apparently the witches aren't going to be too happy with her using her powers to help vampires. She's really going to be putting her life on the line to try and make Elena a human again and its going to be very draining. Graham also mentioned that a dark period is coming upon Bonnie.

Pretty Dirty Secrets- I'm a free mAn

Its comforting to see some familiar faces at the Rosewood Halloween store, even if the situations are anything but comfortable.

"All the dirty cops in rosewood seem to be men," said Noel. Is he trying to give us a subtle hint that Garrett seems to have something to do with the murder of Ali?? He might dislike Garrett since he's Jenna's ex and he might have a negative stance towards him because he was in jail for the alleged murder of Maya, but he got cleared of that didn't he? Why would Noel still have the impression that Garrett is up to something?

Shawna's advantage  is that she see's and hears everything that happens at the Halloween store. While Noel was trying to spit his game at Shawna it was a little confusing to understand his current relationship status? Is he still with Jenna, did they break up or is he just a player? Either of the three choices are highly possible.  Notice his reaction though the minute Garrett started warning him about Jenna. He became very defensive and made it clear to Garrett that Jenna chose him. There has got to be to the story than a girlfriend battle right? "You don’t know her like I know her she'll use you just like she uses everyone. That’s what she does, that’s who she is," he said. Of course Garrett could be referring to the time that Jenna turned over a page from Ali's autopsy report to Toby stating that Garett told her to hang on to it. I mean she was in on the secret yet she betrayed him and that's how he ended up on the suspects list to begin with. Otherwise, what else could Garrett know about Jenna to make him fear her so much? We've always gotten the impression that she was also scared and running from someone.

Also, why do you think that Garrett automatically assumed that Noel was calling his house leaving suspicious voicemails. These two obviously have a feud that goes way beyond a girl. Garrett would have gotten over the fact that Noel was with Jenna, but he is clearly very suspicious of the two, as the liars used to be. What's the deal??

Its also kind of funny how no one saw a person come out of the dressing room with a mask on. Do people not pay attention to whats going on around them? Especially when their getting creepy voicemails at home, their friends and family are getting killed and you cannot trust anyone. Clearly whoever was in the costume was spying on them. I also do not like when new people come to Rosewood and fake innocence. Who is Shawna and why did she come from New York to Rosewood of all places? Why is she so interested in everyone's business and who is she calling at the end of the episode? Could she be A's little personal spy?? Gossip girls these days..

The Xfactor- Episode 1 and 2

Day 2 of Xfactor is over and there have been some exceptionally talented people, some born diva's and a whole lot of laughs. I will be the first one to admit that ever since season 1 of American Idol ended, I have not indulged in any type of singing or dance competition reality show,  so the only reason I am watching this season is because of my love for Britney Spears.

Props must be given to everyone who had the courage to perform and audition in front of these four prestigious judges. Simon does not mess around and he is not easily impressed. I don't think he ever gave a standing ovation for anyone. Anyone except 13-year-old Carly, who bless her old soul, sang like a goddess sent from the angels above. Even if she doesn't get to the finale, fame is hers. As LA said, today a star was born. Remember this day.

Flamboyantly awesome and sparkly personalities always leave a lasting impression. Especially those people that live in an alternate reality and fantasize about the production of their next show. Well the minute that guy opened his mouth to sing 'New York State of Mind' by Billy Joel, that was it. We were sold and we were all at his concert. Crackle, pop, fireworks and glitter galore!

Its extremely touching to see young mothers follow their dreams despite the obstacles they may face. The young woman that auditioned on Wednesday's episode was mind blowing (and I do apologize for not knowing names, I'm sure we will get acquainted further on down the line when it actually matters.) L. A Reid laid it on the money when he said that she reminded him of a young girl that just a couple of years ago walked into his office. She had the spunk and the feel of Rihanna, only with much better pipes and many hardships and life experiences to back up her talent.

Also amazingly impressive from last night's episode was Emblem3, which remind me of an edgier and less boybandish One Direction.  The best thing to watch though is the over confident, attitudey, annoyingly stuck up people, with ego's bigger than Kim Kardashian's booty, try to put down the competition and give them horrible advice.  Literally you just want to see these people fail. For example, the girl that was country blonde and sounded like she was dying when she sang, the English backstreet boy that went on millions of tours in the U.K with his boy band once upon a time but no one ever heard of him, and the actress, singer, dancer with her cleavage exposed that sang on one monotone tune. Its like the judges take a needle and pop this water balloon and it splashes all over them and extinugishes their pride, leaving them slightly confused and shocked. While they are in that state of confusion  the people they were tyring to discourage and put down get 4 yes's. Take that bullies!

Speaking of bullies. The moment when that girl with the raspy voice came out and connected on a depressing and personal level with Demi Lovato was a changing point in the show. It showed courage and strength and brought tears to my eyes. I hope you bullies are watching because like Demi said, those people are probably fat and sitting at home watching while these girls are on stage stronger and better than ever. Once you can sing flawlessly with tears pouring down your eyes, thats talent. That's when you know you've made it. There is no one that can take that away from you. There is something so authentic and honest about pain that just flows out of some people through music and art, and it is beautiful.

Now the judges. Honestly this is the best group of judges in the world. Simon, who is a god dang brilliant business man, did wonders to revive this show. Why? One word: Britney Spears. If there is anyone that knows anything about the celebrity industry, its her. Also in the mix is L.A Reid, who literally knows everything about the music industry. Demi Lovato also brings a fresh and young perspective to those that could possibly have forgotten what is actually good and what is bad music. Its really fascinating to see Mrs. Britney Spears in the raw; real, happy, critical, truthful, honest and just Britney, the one we know and love. Aside from those obsessively compulsive fans, her judging seems to be on point and knowledgable. And did you see those previews where she sings happy birthday?? Homegirl has gotten it all back!!! Finally. This honestly might be the most entertaining season of Xfactor to date!

Just a special treat for all you Glee fans. I really do not like Glee, but flipping through channels I stumbled upon Kate Hudson's rendition of "American" and "Dance and Love." I'm obsessed. Its got amazing vocals and wonderful, sexy dancing. Yum. Let me also take this time to remind you that there will be a Britney focused episode sometime this season. Yes, a second one! Go Glee!!
