Ringer- It Just Got Normal

"Tell me who the hell are you?"
There is some risky business going on in this seasons Ringer and lets just say Manhattan isn't big enough for both Bridget and Siobhan. And as we saw Siobhan get a little cynical and emotional this week we also saw her get a little creepy and possessive. From that shower scene, I got the vibe that Shiv wanted to harm Bridget for taking her life, even though she's the one who threw her into her that life. Way to close for comfort, either way.
The rape story involving Juliet's teacher has me a little dazed and fuzzy? Is Juliet once again lying about this occurrence, because if she is she seems very convinced that it happened. It its false and her father presses chargers is she just calling for attention. It seems to me that their family is in a really happy place at the moment so it seems pretty inconvenient to screw things up unless its necessary. The sad and demeaning part of this episode is the rep it gave public schools. First off their holding a charity to raise money for public schools, oh how kind of the rich, but now the minute Juliet steps foot into a sub-par school, she gets sexually assaulted. Leave it to mama Bridget to take care of business with her right hook.
Why the hell Siobhan is back in New York beats me but she is wandering around like she owns the place. For a girl whose suppose to be dead she really takes no safety precautions in the case that she might get caught. I mean I held my breathe when she snuck into technically her own house and Andrew walked back in and the Bridget did as well. Imagine that scenario. It would be assumed that she was Bridget by everyone but to Bridget herself it would be a rude awakening that Siobhan is in fact alive. Is she really only after those files to take down Andrew's business?
For a woman that is so powerful and fearless, Siobhan has one weakness- Henry. And from next weeks episode's it seems that she might just reveal everything to him. I would call that word vomit. Remember once something is out you can never get it back. If she goes through with telling Henry the truth (well almost the truth, I'm sure she would leave out the part that she was behind his wife's murder) than how is everything going to play out? Bridget is definitely in love with Andrew now and they surprisingly make a cute couple. Oddly enough Bridget is a much better person than Siobhan ever was, and lets not forget Bridget lead a life of drugs and prostitution. Maybe that's the reason why she accepts the good when it is handed to her. And maybe the reason Siobhan cannot let go of Henry is because he's her baby's father? Despite whatever she is trying to pull with French man over there, we all know her heart lies with her baby daddy.. The real one.  All I'm wondering is does anyone really not notice that Bridget and Shiv have different hairstyles??? It seems fairly obvious that the distinction could be made and could open up a lot of doors to many questions.
Bridget might actually be on to something after she made the connection between the peonies, the little note Charlie had and what her ex-enemy blurted to her. If Bridget can put two and two together than maybe she can figure out that Bridget is alive and hiding out in the hotel in Paris before all hell breaks loose. Although chances of that happening are slim to none, you got to hand it to the girl she is pretty perceptive.  Meanwhile, Machado doesn't seem to be going anywhere as he is finding out more and more about Bridget's disappearance and the fact that Siobhan and Charlie were actually involved together instead of Charlie and Bridget. This puts a whole new twist on the unsolved murder/suicide mystery that could leave Siobhan (currently Bridget) under the eyes of the law. Welcome back Ringer!

Pretty Little Liars- A kiss before Lying

After this weeks 100th episode of GG it is going to be really hard for any show to compete this week. Pretty Little Liars followed its usual pattern this week, revealing a whole lot of nothing as the episode dragged on full of Maya and Emily action...
Question number 1 stands at what the hell happened at camp? What did Kate do that was so bad and "ugly"? Was she, for lack of better language, a bitch to Melissa? Was she the Allison of summer camp? Honestly, the writers just keep throwing in stories without giving any answers or explanations and it makes it rather unbelievable. One thing about Pretty Little Liars is that they reveal something and than drag it on for awhile building up a whole case around it. Speaking of Kate, why did A send out this naked picture of her? Was it to mess with Hannah or is Kate going to be involved in this lying game now as well? Girl, piece of advice, stay as far from Rosewood as you can!
Seems like Hannah has become A's new target. Although it was emotionally touching when Han finally opened up to Caleb about what was going on and proved that she trusted him enough to let him know her mom was a criminal, I don't see what her reasoning behind it was? Is that going to make Caleb back down? Of course not! He's going to try to get to the bottom of this. If only she put him in more danger. Right away to protect his loved one's honor, he rode to Jenna's house and had a pretty scary encounter with Garett... Whose story I still haven't been able to piece togheter. All we really know is that he was involved with whatever conspiracy club was being emitted out of Alison's room, and he most likely is the man that dropped the cellphone in that green house. He also seem's to be onto Caleb, but if all of that is any indication that he's A, I have no clue.
Mr. Montgomery is a horribly evil person. First he's got Aria on lockdown and now he has promoted Ezra to a job position all the way up in New Orleans? Man knows how to get his enemies out of town! But what does this mean for Ezria?? Is this over? Will Ezra take the position? And what the hell kind of risky business is Holden involved in? Those bruises were not normal.... Since Aria uses him to see Ezra what the hell does he use Aria for? What is he hiding? See what I mean, so many questions so little answers.
The biggest revelation this week came through a fake I.D... Ali's fake I.D. What does this fake I.D mean? And her alias? And the book Lolita? Does that have some clue of what might have been going through Ali's head? What pisses me off about the show is that they add in clues and information thats convenient for them, like that story Hannah revealed to Spenser. She encountered Ali in a salon with brunette hair because Ali was assuming a different identity. So is the fake identity the reason she got killed? Did she get mixed up in some risky business while she was bored with her life? Or is the show going to follow the outline of the books and Ali really does have a twin. This is sort of how their setting it up to play out. Personally, by Ali's character and personality, I think she has some multiple personality disorder. I don't think home girl was all good up there and each time one of the liars "remembers" a story about Alison, they just get weirder and weirder. For all we know Ali might still be alive. The question is why the hell is A after the liars now and why is everyone and their mothers involved? What role does Jenna play in this? And Garett?

Memorable Quotes

  • Spenser: I guess we know whose a low man on her totem pole.
  • Aria: Believe me I'm not as put together as I seem.
  • Hannah: He's been going through girls at this school like their kleenex.
  • Hannah: This whole time I was worried about Kate backstabbing me I didn't realize you were holding a knife.

Gossip Girl- G.G

"All relationships are a business. Sometimes if your lucky you have love as a bonus."
Holy Crap... No pun intended. After a mediocre season of Gossip Girl I fell into this trap of thinking I could figure out exactly what the writers were trying to do. That is until I watched this very episode. It was a goddamn roller-coaster ride with twists and turns every 5 minutes. What you thought was going to happen one minute flipped 360 and you were left breathless and utterly astonished. Honestly, I don't even know where to begin all I know is that there hasn't been a Gossip Girl episode thus far that has been so brilliantly produced. When church bells rang, the mayhem began.... scheming and blackmailing at full force. And in the end, a new Gossip Girl even made her way to town.
You get what you deserve Blair Waldorf, or should I say Princess Blair. When you have so many people that care about you and want whats best for you, maybe you should take their advice? You can't say they didn't try, because everybody did. Blairs mother physically went to Chuck's loft and begged him to come stop the wedding. Serena tried to talk Blair out of making the biggest mistake of her life. Hell, even Georgina tried to help Blair out (in her own and conniving way). Yet Blair always has to have everything go her way. Chuck Bass poured his heart out for the up-teenth time this season only to be shot down over and over again. Here is a guy that has fought continuously for your love and a guy you admitted to being in love with despite the fact that your getting married to someone else. Blairs logic in all of this just did not follow suite. Than Gossip Girl tried to interrupt, since Chuck didn't have the decency to stop this shindig. And after that embarrassing interruption at the church why the hell would Louie even take Blair back? Is that even a legit marriage and a legit relationship if he can forgive all of that in a couple of seconds? The only obvious answer in all of this was Blair was so convinced she was right, nothing could have changed her mind... Except a rude wake up call that is....
As a sucker for weddings, I was repulsed by the cake eating scene that the newly married couple shared Not until the last dance was everything completely obvious. As the beginning of the episode alluded to this years royal wedding of Kate and William, the ending of it followed in his mothers footsteps, at least partially. Princess Diana was as some say trapped in a loveless marriage and that was exactly what Prince Louie was doing to Blair.  Prince Louie who was kind, loving, and warm-hearted suddenly turned into a complete beast. The love that they once shared was gone and that was fairly obvious by the icy glare he gave her. He had deceived Blair but only after she deceived him.
I know one rule of royalty is that they must save face, but wouldn't it just be bolder of him to tell Blair to hit the curb and distance himself from this mess, letting her live the life she wanted with the guy she loved?  The only thing that will result from this arrangement is that Blair will realize she finally loves Chuck and a whole story will emerge of how she must escape from this legally binded "business deal." But will she try to go back to Chuck or find love in lonely boy's arms. Either way, until her prince gets bored and wants a divorce, she is bound to him. And he is going to want revenge for all the crap she put him through. Smile for the photographers B, your fairy tale has just come true. Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. Are divorces for royalty even legal?
Speaking of lonely boy, Poor S. Not only has she screwed up her previous relationships with Dan but now she lost him to her best friend. I mean when Blair was in trouble the obvious choice would be to call Chuck, but she didn't she called Dan. I loathe a Dair relationship beyond anything more than a friendship. As S waited to talk to Dan after confessing she loved him (way to freak the guy out S) Dan was busy saving his damsel in distress. It seems that every guy falls in love with Blair and Serena gets pushed to the curb. I guess we could have seen this coming from the Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe montage at the beginning when Audrey steals Humphries, but still, doesn't Blair have enough on her mind? Even Georgina treated Serena's life as she made her epic exit... well until next time. Speaking of, some foreshadowing was played in this episode. Georgina has been MIA from New York since like season 4, how the hell would she know everyone's twisted little secrets, even the fact that Serena is in love with Dan. She might be observant but no one can be that observant, I mean lonely boy didn't even catch on!!!! So I guess as shocking as the revelation was, if you were an intuitive watcher you wouldn't have been so shocked.
No, Just Kidding it was still the biggest twist in Gossip Girl history. We waited 5 years to find out that GEORGINA, the jesus camp freak, was Gossip Girl. After everything church camp and tricking Dan into being Milo's father and trying to have Ivy kill herself at some party (and Ivy by the way missed the wedding of the century), Georgina has been our beloved Gossip Girl. I've had such mixed feelings about Georgina in the past few seasons, but one thing she never lacked was her sense of dark, twisted humor.  And although chaos was minimal when GG was gone, she made her comeback in a big way. I doubt this was the last we've seen of lady G. You know what they say, the one that you least expect will be the one to take you by surprise.

Memorable Quotes

  • Gossip Girl: Once upon a time Princess B was a virgin queen and her king was named Archibald. Who would have thought that in just 5 short years she could turn that headband into a tiara.
  • Gossip Girl: But if you think I spent all my recent downtime reflecting what I've done in those same 5 years let me assure you that couldn't be further from the truth. I was just planning my comeback, so if I were you I'd watch this space, cause the new gossip girl is coming and what will my first post be? All I can say is you should probably pray I wont be writing about you.
  • Dan: Once Blair and Louie say I do me and Serena can say I don't and go back to just being friends.
  • Chuck: I'm sorry father I dont play those kind of games anymore.
  • Georgina: A true American princess. The next Princess Diana. Don't these people do their research anymore?
  • Guy: How do you expect to get into the wedding of the century?
    • Georgina: By joining forces with the centuries biggest wedding crasher.
  • Georgina: Bless us father, I have a feeling were about to sin.
  • Priest: Now who are you again?
    • Georgina: The answer to your prayers.
  • Georgina: Jesus owes me one.
  • Nate: You know the worlds a mess when the most honest person we know is Chuck Bass.
  • Chuck: If I were meant to stop the wedding there would have been some sign.
  • Elainor Waldorf: All day long I had this feeling like I forgot something. And than I realized what it was. It's you!
  • Elainor: So are you coming to stop this thing or what?
  • Chuck: Don't marry him. Tell me I'm wrong and I'll leave. You can't because it should be us up there and you know it.
  • Blair: You should find someone who loves you too.
    • Chuck: I have she's standing right in front of me.
  • Serena: Maybe the pact is just an excuse your using to protect yourself from the messiness and uncertainty of a life with the man you really love.
  • Serena: I think I May have just done something really bad.
  • Gossip Girl: If no one else is going to say it I guess I have too. The person who should be objecting isn't Chuck Bass but the bride herself.
  • Blair: Of course I love you Chuck. I've always loved you. I love you more and more everyday if that's even possible to love someone that much.
  • Georgina: Anyways whoever it was the weddings over now. See you at the next shinding. Ta-Ta.
  • Blair: Its me. I made a horrible mistake and I don't know what to do. Help me please.

One Tree Hill- Love The Way You Lie

"And who lives in hotels? People whose stay is temporary."
Leave it up to OTH to give us a cute and fun episode just to shatter our world in the last minute. For what its worth, every scene with Dan Scott pulls at my heart strings. I am fully aware of the fact that for 8 seasons we hated him for the way he treated Nathan, for abandoning Lucas and for killing Keith. I am also aware that he is probably up to so mischievous non-sense that we are not currently aware of. Yet every time I see his sad puppy dog eyes I feel bad for him. You have to hand it to the guy, as much as he sucked as a father, he is one heck of a chef and when Haley needed him most, he was there to help her. Haley is also not a dumb person so when someone made a scene about a "murderer" making their food, she surprisingly stood up for Dan. Although it wasn't expected from Haley, it was the right thing to do. Dan served his time in jail, he has been trying to recompense for his mistakes and he doesn't need strangers pointing that out to him. What did he poison your food? No. But of course every action has its consequence and this will mean that Haley might have just jeopardized her and Brooke's cafe, or should I say Karen's cafe. By kicking out all the business, their going to find a new place to go... Namely the new gourmet cafe that opened up right across the street. I wonder how Jaimie took the news that his grandfather is a murderer? Are the writers going to touch up on that? And seriously, when the hell is Nathan coming back?
Brooke Davis also breaks my heart because as powerful and determined as she is, she crumbles at the need of affection from her parents. And even when she gets that attention from her daddy it is only because she is used as a "bimbo" to score some deal and impress his friends. Sure she needed the financial backing from investors that her short skirt and kick-ass flirty personality got her, but she also needed quality time with her father. I guess you just cannot have it all can you?
Clearly, the Mouth and Milly storyline is still not making much sense. Although it gives for some humorous moments who cares if Mouth is fat? Milly is making this huge scene as if he's "going to eat himself to death." No he isn't Milly. He gained some weight, he isn't obese. There's clearly a difference and putting him on the spot like that in front of millions of viewers was highly unnecessary. Speaking of irrelevant story lines that brings me to Quinn and Clay. Now the writers are tying in the fact that Clay suffered after the shooting to him buying drugs off the street to those drugs being the cause of his sleepwalking? So basically he is a druggie cause he has been using his pain medication recreationally. That's why he didn't pick up his prescription? There must be some more depth to this story. It just doesn't seem believable that Clay would do all of this, jeopardize his relationship with Quinn and risk going to Europe because of an addiction. Next weeks promo's show us Clay who isn't capable of remembering anything that happened. As hazy as his memory is, the hazier this storyline gets. I need answers, quickly!

An unpredictable pairing we have with Chase and Chris Keller. Misery sure does love company huh? But did Alex actually break up with Chase or did she just leave to pursue her music career, cause those are two different things. Keller does have a point though, Alex was never a settle down forever kind of girl. Sure it seemed like she was for the little time they had together but let's look at her past. She was a suffering actress who thrived through Hollywood, slept with millions of guys and had a thing for Julian.  Everything for her is always temporary and she's always on to her next adventure in life. Who know's maybe she will come back after the tours done, but it would be stupid of her to risk an opportunity like that for a person she may or may not be with for the rest of her life. Truthfully, nothing is forever, even life is temporary...
Now the big story is Julian. Dude what the hell. I know Julian isn't the smartest of guys cause lets admit he's a little dopey, but to LEAVE YOUR KID IN THE CAR! Are you insane! There is no excuse. He was nervous about his studio being rented out, thats explainable. Than he got a call that they want to meet in person, so trying to impress your potential partners is also explainable, but in the midst of all of that how the hell do you forget you have a kid with you. When Brooke called Julian and all the windows were broken and they were rescuing a child from the car my blood pressure literally skyrocketed. I cannot even begin to imagine what Brooke's reaction the this might be. But the bigger questions: Did the baby die? Was it hot that day in Tree Hill? Will Julian have to go to jail? Are charges going to be pressed? How will this affect Brooke and Julian's relationship? I mean the girl couldn't have children and than she finally had twin boys and now your husband leaves one in the freaking car? Who cares about that deal you were just going to make. You can kiss all that goodbye. And if I was Brooke, you could kiss me goodbye as well...

Memorable Quotes

  • Victoria: Well i prefer him banned from picking up my grandsons but you know you can't have it all.
  • Haley: Trust me I know Chris Keller is not good for relationships.
  • Chris: You show up for work looking like that, which is really sexy, and you work for free?
  • Chris: Yeah occasionally we do our own video shoots and we might use you as an extra. So did you bring that bikini?
  • Chris: Do you know what I was doing before I woke up in those random places? Some random chick.
  • Haley: Don't shake his hand, you don't know where its been.
  • Brooke: I'll make my own coffee. Who am I kidding I still don't know how to use this thing. Would you mind? Your so good at it!
  • Chuck: Contrary to popular opinion, he doesn't speak for the both of us.
  • Chris: Who do I need to screw to get a burger around here? Please let it be you.
  • Chris: Chris Keller can do it all baby.
  • Chris: Alex is an actress we need constant affection and validation.

Gossip Girl- Father of the Bride

"There are only some people you can love by not being with them"
Let me just kindly apologize for the delay of my Gossip Girl review. Unfortunately The CW thinks its alright to cut into my programs with some baseball junk so I had to frantically search for the episode online today. Lets just say this, if I was to ever imagine a Blair Waldorf bachelorette party it sure as hell would not look like it did.  Nor would I imagine she would spend it with her minions and Louie's evil bitch sister. And where the hell was S? I mean really  couldn't she wait till the party was overt to bring down Tripp? Its your best friends bachelorette party! Although Blair didn't seem to mind much, I certainly did. Maybe if Serena was there, none of this would have happened. Or maybe worse things would have happened... You know how things get when Alcohol and Serena Van der Woodsen mix.
Seems like people can turn over a new leaf, which is what Beatrice seems to have done. Her character was an iffy one, never quite as talented at scheming as Blair, yet she actually out schemed Blair in this episode. Maybe it is the fact that Blair has started being more naive in her ways, trusting the wrong people, and pulling herself away from the people that actually have had her back for years now. Besides for Humphrey, her trusty sidekick, who seems to be doing a little scheming of his own lately.  First he's faking a relationship with Serena to protect Blair than he's keeping a huge secret of hers and lying to everybody about it and now he wrote Louie's wedding vows. The tragic part in all of this is that Blair found those vows and was convinced that Louie was the right choice. Deception is never the answer. You know why? Because it can stand in the way of true love finding its path. If you cannot write your own wedding vows, than why do you even deserve the bride?
Getting back to my original point, this was probably the last we have seen of Beatrice (well until the wedding, cause I'm assuming she will go to Africa after the wedding). She ended her romance with the priest (highly inappropriate and so downgrading to the Catholic religion) but now he is on a mission to stop this wedding himself, along with his accomplice Chuck Bass. What's disgusting to me is that the writers of GG have made Chuck seem desperate and unstoppable. He doesn't care who he is going to hurt in the process and doesn't think for a second about how Blair is affected by his wrong doings. He is fighting for true love and as romantic as that is he is doing it in the wrong way. And all of his friends are doing everything in their power to keep him away from Blair. Is everyone really that blind on this show? Despite everything Blair is depressed and its obvious. I mean she got drunk for crying out loud and kept insisting they do anything, just as long as Chuck Bass isn't around. For a girl whose supposably getting married to the Prince of Monaco another man should be the least of her worries. How funny was it to see Blair get drunk though? I mean the girl is actually real and funny! And than when she got arrested because she thought the cops were male strippers. What a hoot!
Well at least now its fairly obvious that the wedding will be interfered by someone with God on his side, a corrupt priest. For all the selfish reasons he's going to screw this wedding up, one good thing will eventually come out of it. I hope. Wouldn't the writers throw fans for a curveball is Blair actually ended up marrying Louie. The end of the world would come sooner than expected.
Is the Tripp vs. Nate storyline done? There really was no point to it. As of now it came to a dead end. Nate stood up to his grandfather, again. He realized he's going to be an honest and trust worthy person, again. Tripp is probably going to disappear and create a scandal around the archibald name, again. It's getting to a point that's just too much. But does this mean that Serena is going to get re-hired and compete with Gossip Girl? Seems to me their both back in business and Serena is gaining fans fast, I mean did you guys see the way Rufus was laughing at the blog?! Speaking of, who would have thought the tables would turn so drastically. Back in season 1 lonely boy was fighting to get the beautiful blondes attention. Now, that beautiful blonde has to fight to keep a "fake relationship" going with lonely boy and suppress her hidden desires for him. Yep, S has really stooped that low. Dan wants to break free from her control and she will not let go. God, this wedding will be the wedding of all weddings! I Cant Wait!!! Maybe Lil J will make an appearance. (A girl can always dream right?)

Pretty Little Liars- The Blond Leading the Blind

"Mmm. I think it's best if you don't know."
Well it wouldn't be a romantic movie scene if there wasn't a rain kiss right? And the fact that Ezra could just leave his car and park in the middle of the street and go kiss Aria while nobody honks could really happen huh? Yet the story line is so juicy and forbidden that like a little girl I sat there contemplating if he would actually man up and go save this relationship or if he would hide in his office forever. Let's just say Ezra won't be getting a bitching from me tonight. See sometimes guys don't understand the meaning of romance. Guys think in white and black and girls, we always see the option of gray. Without a little push from someone else, guys might never be able to realize that they might just loose what's in front of them. But lets not forget this happiness is only temporary. Just wait until A decides to screw with them. In the end, A made it clear that the partners are not safe at all. It wont be long before all of them start disappearing like Toby did.
Which truthfully puts the girls in the hardest position. Do you lie to the one you love to protect them? Do you hurt them and let them go? Do you spare their feelings and let them go? Do you tell them what's going on and figure either way their going to get hurt? It truly is the most effed up decision one could be placed in. Spencer was the first victim to face that decision head on. After A made sure that Toby got hurt, minimally but still we don't know the extremes A is willing to go too, Spencer was forced to let go of Toby in the only way she could think of-- make Emily lie to him and tell him that Spencer fell for someone else. As heartbreaking as it was to watch that, I wish the writers would have let us feel a little bit more emotion by revealing what he wrote in that letter. And why has Ren returned?   Going off my instincts writers don't usually bring a character unless he/she is about to involved in a major story line.
This little set up that Aria and Holden have going seems to be working out extremely well. The only speculations I have is what the hell is Holden up too? If he isn't gay (Ha Ha) than what could he possibly be sneaking off to do? Trust me on this one though, we will find out soon enough. A never fails to surprise us and this is one secret that can get Aria and Ezra in way too much trouble. Its an opportunity I'm sure A will not pass up.
The sketchiest part of the episode was the fact that the liars went behind Hannah's back to try to get what was on that phone. Yeah we all want answers, I think the viewers more so than the liars, but to lie to your friend about it while she's doing everything in her power to keep her boyfriend safe.. Low. Truthfully we know A doesn't mess around. We saw what he was capable of doing to Toby and that was just a warning. Maybe seeing Caleb get hurt means nothing to Spencer but it means everything to Hannah and when she finds out she's going to be furious that her trust was broken. She's already in a messed up situation because Caleb probably knows more about the situation than any of the other parents ( I mean lets face it Ezra and Maya are kind of clueless) which means that Caleb wants answers, he wants to know, and he wants to help. There might not be any way of saving him without breaking the relationship up, but at least spare him his life. This isn't his battle to fight.
After an episode where I thought we would finally get some answers were still being dragged around in a vicious circle, while somehow being entertained. We still don't know who the hell A is. We still don't know what Garrets deal is. I cant seem to fathom how the hell Jenna knows that Spencer is around her. No one knows what happened the night Ali died. And I for sure as hell don't understand what the hell Noel Kahn is up to and why he dropped Mona on her ass to date Jenna. What is this alliance they all have going? What was in that box? All we know for sure is that whoever A is, is the same person that was after Alison and probably the same person that killed Ali. The reference to the halloween episode really didn't give away much since my Sherlock Holmes skills have already pieced all of this together, yet I still don't know anything..... What if A is also threatening and screwing with Garett and Jenna? Wouldn't that be something.
Memorable Quotes

  • Toby: When he's not here or when Spencer's not here?
  • Spencer: Has he ever tried to kiss you?
    • Aria: No.
    • All 3 girls: Gay.
  • Mona: Maybe the next girl you'll decide to dump all over will like it better than I did.
  • Hannah: Look whatever you imagine isn't half as bad as it really is.
  • Aria: In this case what she doesn't know wont hurt her.
  • Student: True love saves him from making the biggest mistake of his life.
    • Ezra: Do you think thats realistic?
    • Student: I think thats romantic.
    • Ezra: Life isn't always romantic. Sometimes it's realistic. Sometimes things don't work out  the way you want them too.
  • Student: Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid.

And I will Let you Go...

90210- Should Old Acquaintance Be Forgot?

"New Year, Fresh Start"
Isn't it just the greatest thing when you watch a show and they throw you such a twist you kind of forget how to speak. That's usually not the case with 90210, so this weeks episode caught me a little off-guard.
Naomi is finally maturing. The Naomi from past seasons was always so boy oriented she never let her smartness and her abilities shine. That has changed ever since she took on this new internship. Realistically the girl is a college student that has urges and needs and sometimes she gets a little carried away in the heat of the moment, but when she finally confronted Austin about the cheating she acted like the mature young woman we never knew she could be. She resisted her urges and put herself and her happiness first. And for a woman like Naomi Clark that happiness is in being a strong open minded woman that doesn't rely on a man to get her anywhere.
The Navid situation finally figured itself out thanks to Silver, but sadly enough once something breaks a couple up, getting back to where they were before seems almost impossible. As much as Silver still has feelings for Navid, she has opened up to somebody new and let herself be happy in a mature relationship that she started feeling comfortable in. Like the theme of the episode, out with the old in with the new, that is exactly what Silver was doing. As much as it hurts to let go of the past, sometimes once you do better things come along. Thats where the twist comes in, by some coincidence Silvers boyfriends daughter is actually adopted.... She's Adriannas real daughter. Now you might think that this story line could have been seen before hand given they brought up Ade's baby a couple of episodes back, but in some sneaky way, that I myself never caught on. How is Silver going to go about the relationship now? Her and Ade haven't been on the best terms. Ade is Navid's ex. He left Ade for Silver. Now Silver is dating a guy who adopted Ade's kid. Thats some pretty messed up stuff right there. Will this be the thing that brings Navid and Silver back together?
The most tragic story line in this whole show has to revolve around Liam and Annie who just cannot seem to figure this whole dating each other thing out. They are that one couple on the show that everybody roots for, and you know those couples are usually on and off every fricking episode to the point that it drives you mad.... Anyways. After Liam realized he wanted to be with Annie last year (?) he was in a tragic accident and Annie left to Paris to visit her mother and shockingly some new blonde bimbo came into the picture... (Sorry Lexi). Annie isn't as dumb as she looks though, the minute she heard that there was maroon paint on Liams bike she was suspicious of this new girl and if she didn't have a heart she would have totally been able to convince Liam this girl was a psycho-path. But of course there has to be reason to stretch the story and after she "accidentally" switched bags with the new girl she finds out that the girl has been lying about her name and identity. If this doesn't set off the psycho alarms for Liam, I don't know what will. Strangely enough there are no other witnesses to the accident, but hmm maybe there were camera's? This girl basically lied her way out of an accident and into the "model of the years" bed. She saw her chance and she took it, now Annie has to find a way to remove her... Permanently.
I'll condense the less interesting story lines into one. First off for someone who married a guy she just met at the age of like 19, Ivy doesn't seem to be too distraught about loosing Raj. Their story was so wrapped up in how much they loved each other and how depressed she was about his cancer and the fact that he was going to die, but it was all temporary and fleeting. She basically did loose him now and it seems like she doesn't even care. The lesson out of this: Don't marry someone until you have been with them for a while and your not getting married out of selfish reasons. Dixon also never really gets any interesting angles in this show. He is either a druggie or jealous over his girlfriends and it kind of makes him look shallow. Let me put it this way, if a college student got booked for some huge gig in the entertainment world I'm pretty sure they wouldn't mess it up because some booking manager dude was hitting on their girlfriend. Do you see what happens in Hollywood? That dress Ade was going to wear was a rag, not a sexy revealing article of clothing. Priorities Dixon, priorities. And let me just say if I was Ade and my boyfriend would mess up such an opportunity for me, I would probably break up with him. Forever.
Memorable Quotes
  • Naomi: New guinea or New booty?
  • Dixon: Right now I'm kind of like the black Chris Angel.
  • Dixon: How hard is it to push away a 90 pound girl?
  • Liam: You know what they say time heals all wounds.
  • Navid: You bought me flowers??
    • Dixon: No sweetheart I didn't.
  • Naomi: It's called rebound sex. Nothing repairs a painful memory like replacing it with a hot new one.
  • Naomi: If you get stuck just take a deep breath and think WWND. What would Naomi do?
  • Naomi: It might not be everyones cup of tea but neither is hippy hair and somehow you make that work.
  • Naomi: You know I love a man in uniform but I'd love you even more out of it.
  • Rachel: A strong woman admits when she hurts and faces her problems head on. She never takes her eye off the ball especially for a man. So who do you want to be Naomi? A strong woman or just the girl who gets the guy?

The Secret Circle- Witness

"It wasn't just blocking out a memory, it was blocking out the truth."
Finally an installment of Secret Circle that head my head buzzing and kept me on my toes throughout. The writers relied on a form of "inception" to uncover the truth about the fire that happened years back that killed all of their parents. What they learned though was much more helpful than what they had pieced together through their family books. The witch-hunters were the ones who started the fire so many years back, not the witches. And John Blackwell never really died in that fire as it was presumed. That means that he has been around this whole time watching Cassie grow up? Why wouldn't he intervene is some situations for example Cassie's mother getting killed? I'll admit the arch of the storyline is intense, they just have to back it up with a lot of facts and explanations, otherwise viewers will have to many questions and too many loopholes will be left open. If John Blackwell does return, it will be like opening the door to disaster. I can't wait.
The drama lies within Team Jake and Team Adam and the tension between both of them is brilliant. Leave it up to the writers to leave Cassie in a state of confusion between two great guys, just as they did to Elena on TVD. Anyways, both guys are madly in love with Cassie and it seems like Jake proved this week that he isn't only after Cassie's power. He wants to help uncover the truth just as much as she does and its important that they do. Learning about history helps from repeating the same mistakes again. The event that occurred in "Witness" was mighty important to the progression of the story and for Cassie to get a hold of her dark magic and figure out how to use it properly. It also led her to that necklace left by her father that will further protect her from the witch-hunters. It also revealed to us that Adam's father, Ethan, might not be the man we all thought he was. Dawn is a lying manipulative bitch, just like her daughter but at least she's up-front about it. Thomas was a bully and always will be a bully, but once again he owns up to it. Ethan came off as this sweet, saddened, drunk father and now we find out that he was actually helping out the witch-hunters kill John Blackwell. Could it be because he was so in love with Emilia that he wanted to get rid of Blackwell? Does this mean he is going to be a potential threat to Cassie and that the scene in last weeks episode at the gym was only the beginning of a dangerous feud?
As Diana mentioned "I feel like the circle is falling apart" and that seems to be true. Besides for Cassie, Adam, Diana and Jake nobody else seems to be too interested in what is happening to the circle. Melissa hasn't had much of a story line since Nick died, her character is very monotonous and not exciting. Bad girl Faye has her own life now away from the circle which involves her new sexy potions priest. Yet this new friendship of hers is going to put her in a lot of trouble. She is the type of girl that fears nothing and wants to try everything. When Cullem the drug dealer gave her that devils-spirit you could see that she was ecstatic on the inside. If Lee's warning about his ex girlfriend was any indication of where Faye's storyline was about to go then we are going to have one crack out bad girl attacking everybody. Her struggle for power will ultimately bring her down and cause her to suffer grave consequences.
But lets just go back to the boat house and the memories. Cassie is a very persistent person and she tends to break the rules just to get what she wants. That's exactly what she did today, even kicking Jake out of her memory. While she was in that memory no one could see her, except for one lady who warned her that she shouldn't be here. How could she have seen her? Why did she warn her? What effect is this going to have on the rest of the story? The most heartbreaking part of that had to have been Jake seeing his mother die right in front of him. I don't think any child could bear to see that and stay as calm as he did. With this being said, Cassie stated that there seemed to be sides being chosen within the circle and some people sided with the witch-hunters and some sided with Blackwell? How will this revelation affect everything. This episode was great as it was an introduction and a set up to what is to come. Now I just hope that they flesh everything out in the same exciting mannerism as "Witness" was done in.
Memorable Quotes

  • Adam: And your an avenging angel now? Don't they usually stay hidden in the shadows?
    • Jake: Don't you usually have a different girlfriend?
  • Adam: There's a council of witch-hunters? Are you their mascot?
  • Cassie: He cares about me.
    • Adam: You or your powers?
  • Lee: Maybe because your circle skanks don't want you back.
  • Lee: Damnit Faye, I just cleaned up the place from the last time you thrashed it.
  • Cullem: Except you expressed some interest and I am very sensitive to a pretty girls needs. Call me if you develop any more needs.

The Vampire Diaries- The Ties that Bind

"You've changed. Somethings different about you. Your stronger, tougher."
What a bloody brilliant and brutal episode. When The Vampire Diaries gets its, they get it right, right to the core... if you know what I mean. There was more action in this episode than there was in One Tree Hill, Pretty Little Liars, and 90210 combined and there was not one moment that I wasn't stressing out about what the hell was about to go down.
Its good to see Bonnie and Elena working through their differences and being there for each other like the best friends they used to be. Going on this road trip was something they needed just to get away and catch up on things like lip-locking with Damon, but it was also an awfully stupid move on their part knowing that in Mystic Falls you never go anywhere without an accomplice (aka a vampire). So its a good thing that Stefan showed up even though he wasn't really the one that took control of the situation. Elena takes the gold on this one because for the first time in all the seasons she has actually toughened up and used all that strength and anger that Damon and Ric have been helping her achieve and kicked some ass.
See the wonderful thing about Elena is that she has a heart and no matter what kind of asshole Stefan is to her, her heart wont let him suffer, even if that means sticking her hand inside his open wound to take out the wooden bullets and ease him from his pain. After all this time I think something finally got through to Stefan when she admitted  that she kissed Damon and didn't feel guilty about it. Funny thing happens with guys; their allowed to say the meanest things to you, push you away and treat you like crap yet they feel no remorse for it. But when the girl takes action and blatantly puts it out there that she's moving on they are so hurt and confused. Despite everything though I feel so bad for Stefan and that's weird cause I am a firm believer of Delena. Ah I'm so conflicted... so truthfully no one can even blame Elena anymore. See Elena and Stefan had a passionate love, while Damon and Elena have that irresistable love. She has two wonderful guys, who both have their flaws and are both in love with her, who do you choose?
Since the brotherly bond between Damon and Stefan has not been so prevalent lately, it was quite tasty to see Damon take on his best friend duties and make sure that Ric's new score was not some psychopath. Which at first, seemed like she was I mean granted thats her role in every other show, but never fear, she only attack vampires to take their blood and save the people that are brought to her hospital on their death beds. She's a doctor with a twist, so to speak. But this brings me to point B. Who killed her ex bf and why? Why did they stake him like he was a vampire? It was brought up on multiple occasions throughout this episode so I'm assuming it has some major relevance to the Ric+ hot doctor plot line. Come on detective Damon, get to the bottom of this.
It seems like everything in Bonnie's world has been falling apart lately; she lost her gramz, her ex bf cheated on her with a ghost, she had to send him away and now she finally gets the strength to meet her birth mother and her mother is compelled by Klaus's hybrids. Shit just got real. But seriously, how do you trust someone after all of that? Of course she's your mother so your always going to have a weak spot for her but really Bonnie could never really on her before and this was just more proof that she might not be the most reliable person.  The fact that her mother was working for Klaus really took me for a spin, Klaus tainted mommy Bennett before Bonnie could even explain why she was there. And how crazy is the fact that Bonnie's mother was best friends with Elena's mother and she was fighting this battle long before the girls were involved. Michael actually came for the doppleganger when she was born. I hope they expand on this story line a bit more because it would definitely be interesting to see how their parents were involved.
Since Bills very first episode, everyone knew he was up to no good. He couldn't accept the fact that his daughter was a vampire and he wanted to do everything in his power to "fix" her. Tyler kind of screwed himself over when he called Bill in for reinforcements. Yes, he has a solution one that might or might not work, yes he is going to push Tyler to the max, but he also won't let Tyler see Caroline until he has broken the sire bond and he has no problem threatening to kill Tyler. How can he be so sure that it will work? What if it doesn't? Is Tyler's love for Caroline really that strong?
This whole season has been a villain vs. villain game. A game of cat and mouse. As Klaus was always one step ahead of everybody, he is now one step behind. He might be able to catch Elena and Bonnie by offguard, but at the end of the day he's still the one that gets pounced on. He got his coffins back, indeed, but what he didn't get back with them was what was inside the coffin. My guess is that whatever was inside the coffin was what Damon had at the end of the episode- a weapon to kill an original. And then if that wasn't a surprise enough, I guess Damon had the decency to let Elijah out of the coffin and gain revenge on his brother. Oh this town is just full of surprises. And if that wasn't enough, things at the Salvatore house weren't calm either. Damon, thats what you get for taking your brothers girl. Was it worth it? Hell yeah.

Memorable Quotes

  • Damon: Road-trip! I call shot gun!
    • Elena: Yeah No.
    • Damon: Want me to hang out in the back with you?
    • Elena: Your not coming Damon.
    • Damon: Why? I'm the one who found her.
    • Elena: Look Damon, Bonnie hasn't seen her mom in over 15 years. We don't need your snarky commentary narrating her experience.
  • Damon: We kissed, now its weird. Have a good trip!
  • Bill: Because he made a mistake and now he wants to make good and I understand that.
  • Renee: And a drunk doctor, is a bad doctor.
  • Ric: What would my exes call me?
    • Damon: Nothing, their all dead.
  • Elena: No I'm not Stefan. We need a night off from your insanity.
  • Stefan: Hey Elena, nice lake-house.
  • Renee: You think I killed my ex boyfriend?
    • Damon: I think psychopaths are incredibly high maintenance.
  • Ric: What are you doing here?
    • Damon: Oh looking for a bunny.
  • Damon: I went to the hospital to accuse her of killing her ex boyfriend, which btw very sensitive subject.
  • Elena: I have to tell you something and its not because I feel guilty that it happened its because I feel guilty you don't know.
  • Elena: I didn't plan on kissing him.
    • Stefan: Your better than him Elena. Your better than both of us.
  • Damon: Is Elena ok?
    • Stefan punches Damon
    • Damon: I take it you two had a heart to heart... And I take it you don't want to talk about it... Noted.
