Props must be given to everyone who had the courage to perform and audition in front of these four prestigious judges. Simon does not mess around and he is not easily impressed. I don't think he ever gave a standing ovation for anyone. Anyone except 13-year-old Carly, who bless her old soul, sang like a goddess sent from the angels above. Even if she doesn't get to the finale, fame is hers. As LA said, today a star was born. Remember this day.
Flamboyantly awesome and sparkly personalities always leave a lasting impression. Especially those people that live in an alternate reality and fantasize about the production of their next show. Well the minute that guy opened his mouth to sing 'New York State of Mind' by Billy Joel, that was it. We were sold and we were all at his concert. Crackle, pop, fireworks and glitter galore!
Its extremely touching to see young mothers follow their dreams despite the obstacles they may face. The young woman that auditioned on Wednesday's episode was mind blowing (and I do apologize for not knowing names, I'm sure we will get acquainted further on down the line when it actually matters.) L. A Reid laid it on the money when he said that she reminded him of a young girl that just a couple of years ago walked into his office. She had the spunk and the feel of Rihanna, only with much better pipes and many hardships and life experiences to back up her talent.

Speaking of bullies. The moment when that girl with the raspy voice came out and connected on a depressing and personal level with Demi Lovato was a changing point in the show. It showed courage and strength and brought tears to my eyes. I hope you bullies are watching because like Demi said, those people are probably fat and sitting at home watching while these girls are on stage stronger and better than ever. Once you can sing flawlessly with tears pouring down your eyes, thats talent. That's when you know you've made it. There is no one that can take that away from you. There is something so authentic and honest about pain that just flows out of some people through music and art, and it is beautiful.
Now the judges. Honestly this is the best group of judges in the world. Simon, who is a god dang brilliant business man, did wonders to revive this show. Why? One word: Britney Spears. If there is anyone that knows anything about the celebrity industry, its her. Also in the mix is L.A Reid, who literally knows everything about the music industry. Demi Lovato also brings a fresh and young perspective to those that could possibly have forgotten what is actually good and what is bad music. Its really fascinating to see Mrs. Britney Spears in the raw; real, happy, critical, truthful, honest and just Britney, the one we know and love. Aside from those obsessively compulsive fans, her judging seems to be on point and knowledgable. And did you see those previews where she sings happy birthday?? Homegirl has gotten it all back!!! Finally. This honestly might be the most entertaining season of Xfactor to date!
Just a special treat for all you Glee fans. I really do not like Glee, but flipping through channels I stumbled upon Kate Hudson's rendition of "American" and "Dance and Love." I'm obsessed. Its got amazing vocals and wonderful, sexy dancing. Yum. Let me also take this time to remind you that there will be a Britney focused episode sometime this season. Yes, a second one! Go Glee!!
