Happy Valentines Day!
A Valentines Day like this is really nothing worth celebrating. Gossip Girl took it back to the high schools days this week and gosh have I missed that school girl attire. Besides for Queen B, everyone seemed to be in uniform this week and there was no shortage of drama. I thought that we had left the Humphrey-Waldorf love story behind, but unfortunately it has resurfaced. Not only has this cause tension between Blair and Serena but it has also led Chuck to turn back to his old ways, namely bringing every woman back to his bed. Why on earth did Blair kiss Dan? Why would she have feelings for him all of a sudden? What does this mean for her relationship with Chuck? This was probably the only situation that would not have presented itself at any, and I mean any, high school event. The writers have totally taken the storyline of Blair and Chuck and strayed with it. I understand you cannot keep them playing the cat and mouse game, but there are no Dair worshippers... Anywhere. If Blair cannot be with Chuck, than she sure as hell should not be making out with Dan. The writers are just making her look sleazy at this point.
So Ivy returned to inform Lily that her mother is sick and doesn't have much time left. The only question than is why is the fake Charlie with grandma Rhodes? Ivy probably shouldn't have stuck around the party for so long because it only took one second for Nate to out her to the real Charlie, and by the look of things she was not going to let this go easily. Here is someone she once knew that had taken on her life, lived with her family and basically impersonated her. Seems to me that the real Charlie was left in the dark about a lot of things since she had no idea of who her family even was. A combination of efforts from Georgina and the real Charlie will crush fake Charlie in a split second, especially if she plans on making casual comebacks to the Upper East Side. Thing aren't looking so bright for Queen B, who truthfully cannot trust anyone except maybe Humphrey at this point. Her best friend has every right to try and screw up her life. Now that Georgina is Gossip Girl she is literally everywhere. Chuck is now pissed off that Humphrey's got to his girl. And lastly, her new babysitter is in love with her husband. It won't be long until she figures out how to play the Upper East Side game and sets off a plan to crush Blair and get the man of her dreams. The unraveling of this storyline will be quite tasty considering the previews for next week show a lot of Blair and Dan face time. Poor Serena. Anyone see the door opening for a Chuck and Serena romance. That would literally be the end of the world, but hey you never know. Overall, this episode was just proof that Valentines Day isn't all its hyped up to be.

- GG: But isn't that what Valentines Day is all about? Hopes dashed, feelings hurt, relationships severed. Its a day filled with crushing disappointments where its easy take advantage of the vulnerable and the lonely. While some like to pine over those unrequited loves others cant help but feel like they somehow got totally screwed. And while it'd be nice to believe that most valentine days end well we all know they are far more likely to end in heartbreak. XoXo Gossip Girl.
