Revenge- Retribution

"Has getting retribution ever made you feel better about yourself?"

Sometimes retribution isn't all its cracked out to be and sometimes can lead to disastrous results. Unless you know how to outsmart the villain, retribution can leave you confused and hopeless. Revenge is not something that one can attain easily. With revenge comes dedication and in order to get that revenge you have to be willing to give up everything.

What a bloody season finale, featuring shocking twists and what seems like heroes and villains on steroids, or cocaine (whatever's classier). Its glorious to watch how the mighty have fallen, a takedown of the 1% if you will.  In her best efforts, Victoria attempted to do the right thing and come clean about the David Clarke terrorist attacks after she found out that Conrad ordered David's murder. Although her efforts failed miserably, her defeat was noble and firm. She got on that plane, knowing that it might be her last, proudly and with no hesitation. It was proof that she really did love this man. The domino affect took place after her death. Charlotte did everything in her power to redeem her image at school and hurt Declan and his new "girlfriend." And by do everything in her power I mean handle the situation just as her mother would. As her plan back fired she realized that at the moment she lost everything, she had no one to turn to. She pushed away the only person that ever cared about her. This caused her to overdoes on drugs, while Conrad drank away his problems realizing that the only two women he ever loved in his life just blew up on a tragic plane accident. Sometimes, we really cannot avoid repetitive history. It really is painful to see that the day Daniel and Charlotte lost their mother, no one was really on good terms. Now all they have left is Conrad and it seems that he has limited time with all the leftover evidence that Emily will make sure gets put to good use.

All this could have been avoided if Emily just gave up her morals. To honor her father, she had to stay true to herself. Even though killing that white haired snake would incriminate the Grayson's, save Victoria and put an end to all of this, that just wasn't the way out. It would have also meant that they would have thought they finished something that goes deeper and way beyond what we have come to grasp in just one season. Conrad Grayson is not the only person to blame for the terrorism schemes and the innocent, accidental death's. It goes way beyond him actually, as it involves the airline covering up the conspiracy's. And with that realization we find out that Emily's (Amanda's) real mother is still alive. Could it be possible that she was behind everything? Or that she played a huge role in the terrorism conspiracies? What is her story??? This new twist will make for an interesting angle on season 2. One of the sweetest things to see is that all her actions are real and they come from the heart. Her father was the best man in the world and she does everything out of love for him. As a girl who could kick a crazy albino man's ass, she still has the power to be weak and vulnerable, even lost. Its a blessing that she has an awesome and caring sidekick like Nolan. Although he's not really good for any fighting, he's definitely good as someone who needs to be there to hold her together.

No show can ever avoid any couple drama. Things are really looking bleak for the Grayson family. As the other snake (Ashley) spilled the beans to Daniel that his fiance kissed another man, it ultimately led Emily to make the biggest (and best) decision of her life. As she broke up the engagement, it seemed that her chances with Jack were becoming greater and greater. But remember how I wrote about loosing things that are precious and valuable when you consume yourself with the idea of getting revenge. Well yeah, that happened. Amanda (the fake one) returned, with the worst timing ever, and revealed that she was pregnant with Jack's baby. I'm sure everyone is just as ecstatic as she was. My only concern is that we need proof this is Jack's baby. She wasn't the most innocent girl, if you know what I mean. Whose to say that baby doesn't belong to any other guy she encountered in her time away. Really, her timing sucked. Emily was ready to tell Jack the whole truth and tell him that she was really Amanda and that she loved him! I wonder how Jack will react when he finds out that Emily's engagement is off. Anyways, while Emily is soaking up the fact that her mother is still alive, Victoria (the bitch who was so thrilled her wedding was off) is dead and that she lost both Jack and Daniel in the same day, Daniel is scheming it up with Ashley. The vibes I was getting from them seemed to me that she will be the comfort that Daniel will need surrounding his breakup with Emily and when he finds out his mother is dead.
